JasonB
I've noticed aj have lowered their exclusives to £1.99 in line with Beatport. Vonyc was annoying because you had to pay a tenner into a virtual account rather than paying per tune, the maxmp3 bit rates was 192 aswell. They were one of the first if not the first to offer Wavs though.
Quadrant
I totally forgot to put iTunes onto the list.... but they don't do 320k downloads and they are in annoying AAC format as well. And it's only mainstream stuff on there so I assume no-one uses it for downloading dance music.
Max Kane
Never really liked vonyc, mainly for the reasons Jason mentioned. It was really annoying when they had an exclusive & you had to use paypal

Vonyc was the biggest load of bollucks ever, at the time PVD wouldnt play mp3's only wavs so I read, yet he ran a download site that sold 192's, he wouldnt play 192's ffsso why sell them , the wav handling fee was ridiculous aswell. I snagged the Taoi Cruz, Timbaland, M.I.A albums off there recently....nice prices too.

Neuro
I think I'll pin this topic as it's quite good for new joiners looking to see the variety of places where they can purchase their music

JasonB
Just noticed today that junodownload now uses the same needle drop player as DJ Download
Neuro
Just noticed today that junodownload now uses the same needle drop player as DJ Download Good to see. Juno bought them out earlier this year when they went bust and I for one am actually pleased they've therefore been able to nick their needleplayer. JasonB
Trackitdown also have a similiar needleplayer too, I wish Beatport would adopt it aswell, although I suppose now with a lot of labels using soundcloud and even youtube to up extended previews of forthcoming tracks it probably won't happen. Quadrant
My only gripe with labels is those like Distinct'ive who've been around for ages but for some reason don't sell their back catalogue before 2003. WHY NOT? There are still people who remember those tunes! E.g. Kayestone - Atmosphere
JasonB
I think you'll find they now do! check juno for distinct'ive pre 2003 back catalouge!: http://www.juno.co.uk/labels/Distinctive/?order=date_up kayestone can be found here: http://www.juno.co.uk/ppps/products/1439162-02.htm
Dark Energy
My favourite three are Track It Down, Juno Download and Beatport

Number2Fan
My only gripe with labels is those like Distinct'ive who've been around for ages but for some reason don't sell their back catalogue before 2003. Number2Fan
Btw I just uploaded some music to media fire, for my friend and before he even got to it, it had been downloaded 6 times. I couldn't believe it, cheeky thieving bastards!! I didn't even know people would wanna download random unnamed zip files until now!! krusty363
beatport every time!!!
Chrissie Brown
Beatport have become very expensive, l use Juno Download where possible or Track It Down.
JasonB
Beatport have always been expensive, many people choose to pay more for the exclusives, with the poor state of new dance music on the whole more fool them!
JasonB
Also I am surprised more people do not choose audijelly now as 99p for wavs? no brainer!
Quadrant
What's the obsession with WAVs, aside from being gigantic files do they really sound better than a 320k mp3? I guess they should but I've not compared...
