kml
My hard drive failed and I lost all my music. Some of it is currently on my ipod touch. Does anyone know how I can copy the music from my ipod to my new itunes and hard drive? I am on a mac so not sure if pc solutions will work. Quadrant
Don't accept your hard drive is screwed. If there's important stuff on there like tape rips then DO NOT USE IT (so no overwrite possibility) and pay £50 to get it recovered. Absolutely definitely completely worth it. I think Freecom do a recovery service?
Ian_k
for hard drive recovery services id probably stick a 3 before that £50.......they dont come cheap!
Quadrant
I think it depends how large the drive is... you're right it can be a pricey sum if you have a large drive. Music is priceless though. I'd pay for it.
Ian_k
depends how much the music was worth to me, and i always keep 2 copies of my mac hard drive anyways, one my time capsule backup on an external drive, 2 my copy of my music, apps & pictures folders on a different drive, so the chances of 3 drives failing are quite slim. this might sound ott, but working for a major i.t reseller, backups are a good thing, and its always how iv organised my files & so on the files iv dragged n dropped my stuff i can pull it off again, or on the other drive i just restore my time machine backup. kml
Thanks for the input. It is too late to use data recovery. Mac have replaced the drive and data recovery was too expensive.
