Which DJ-related websites do you use?

This is the one I use most - it has the best bunch of members that are all friendly and get on, and everyone knows their stuff.

I use the Matt Hardwick board quite a lot - although I don't know why because its full of narrow-minded idiots who don't like anything other than melodic trance, Jon O'Bir, Matt Hardwick and protecting other members within the clique mafia. There's a few decent people on there - but not many. I guess I only go on there because its busy and its often quite fun winding certain people people up on there when i'm having a crap day :D

I look in at UK Trance Alliance quite often - although I never post. I also look in at the official Jules board now and again - but don't post there either.

DJ Source used to be the best by far - but that disappeared a couple of years ago :(

i go on here, i like it, and most people are decent on here.

i go on the www.judgejules.net board, but thats gone a bit stale and quiet now.

also go on matt hardwick forum but it is a bit "clicky" in there and there does seem to be a bit of narrow mindedness in there too, i agree.

im registered on the anjunabeats forum, but dont go on there that much now, they changed the layout of the forum and it pees me off a bit.

this is more a us board, but is a good board, http://www.djforums.com/content/ alot of good information and knowledgable stuff, if you have a techy question etc.

i'll occasionally when bored have a look at www.thetrancearena.net and www.harderfaster.net too

Yeah, i've never known a forum like that one. Its like Big Brother in online forum format. Loads of people arguing and bitching about one another for no reason other than to give it the Barry Big Bollocks online. The only people that are friends are members of 'the clique' or the ones that can get something out of each other such as a free production or a gig. Very odd bunch.

haha that was my website (www.thetrancearena.com) - but I had to stop running it about 18 months ago. All that remains are my old interviews. I quite miss it actually :(

I still use this board a lot, I've got my biggest post count on here by miles & I get on well with pretty much everyone on here. I think as there is a slightly smaller user base you can actually get to know people a bit better on here.

I really like the Hardwick board, I've met a good number of people from there & really get on well with a lot of the members. I also use anjuna & have got talking to some really cool people from there but there are some members on that board that instantly rebel against anything the least bit detrimental to anjuna, it appears to be their religion a lot of the time.

I use tranceaddict for tracklistings & to check out new reviews & use the Markus Schulz forum occasionally too. I've begun using the new PaSSion forum since it's relaunch, mainly as I play there so often & thought I'd better get in touch with people. The old GK board was fun until it got taken over by over-zelous mods & got shut down.

Yeah, thats very true. Despite never meeting him, I know that Simon Ross can take a joke and I can say what I like and he'll see the funny side. Jason can also take a joke.

I think this is the only board i've been on where there are no idiots - I like everyone one here. Everyone is pretty laid back. :D

I find that with the Matt Hardwick board. There's some good people on there such as Lazarus, Med, etc - and there are some prize plonkers that all follow each other round like sheep. 2 months ago, Armin was the scum of the earth on that board and they were all going on about how cheesy he'd gone, how he won't win the top 100 poll this year, etc - everyone had it it for him. Now, because a couple of people have seen him and said he's been good, everyone on there suddenly thinks he's great and he should win this years DJ Mag poll again. The majority of them are a fickle bunch. I love the way Dewi only makes an appearance when Man Utd have won too so he can have a dig at the Liverpool fans - and then he vanishes again until the next game. Gotta love that forum. Its comedy gold at times.

I have used Tranceaddict.com and still do from time to time for following other DJs. It's a good resource for fresh tracklistings for lots of different DJs.

Discogs.com I use pretty much every day, and also DJDownload.com. All pretty staple sites I think, nothing out of the ordinary!

Judging from my post count you wouldn't think this is my main board, it's along the top of my firefox window :)

I don't post much, but I'm on here a lot. Nice people on here, good conversation and well you know the rest.

I'm on J00F's site, but barely post at all now. While I love John 00, I know nothing about psytrance tunes! They're a nice bunch over there, but so few people are into that scene, or at least, registered on his board.

I used to go on Armin's board, but like the anjuna site, you're not really entitled to your own opinion on there. It's sacrilege to dis their Gods!

I used to go on the Gods board a lot, but that was always a bit clicky too. I've seen quite a few rows on there and 'noobs' shot down in flames because they came on to post how much they were looking forward to going to Gods for the first time. Never noticed when it got shut down, but the board is dismal now and seems to have been abandoned completely!

This is the only forum I ever post on but I think I did once sign up to matt hardwick and anjuna forums... doubt I can even remember login details now though. I dont get loads of time to read through and post on forums so I use the little time I do get wisely and stick to this one

I mainly use the InsideOut forum but I also have log-ins for the Matt Hardwick one at JJ.net.

Although I dont post much I pretty much read every post on this site, unlike most sites everyone seems to get along and I wouldn't think twice about posting something I wasn't too sure about. Ie, ask a question on other forums and there is every chance you will get ripped apart! :P

I also use Beatport & Trackitdown 90% of the time as well as a couple more like Audiojelly if they have exclusive tracks that I want.

Non DJ related I use Killiefc.com as that is the Kilmarnock supporters forum. Prob have the biggest post count there as I am on regular to vent my anger at the team being s***! :)

EDIT: I see you are a big Wolves fan Briggsy, Neil Collins that used to play for you's is a massive Kimarnock fan! Heard that he wasn't too hot for you's though!

He wasn't one of my favourites, but wasn't always as bad as some people made out. We've certainly had worse players, such as Paul Butler, who had the pace of a snail and the turning radius of a bus, and good old Eric Young years ago - he was comedy gold.

We've not got a bad bunch of players now though. On the whole, they're a hard working bunch of youngsters that want to play for the club rather than for the money. Although we're in for a tough season, we're certainly not looking out of place in the Premiership so far :)

Neil Collins has gone out on loan to Preston, with a view to a permanent move. I can't say I'll miss him :P He'll do a job for a championship team but he has too many mistakes in him & in general is not good enough with the ball at his feet to adapt to the prem. I've got a 100% record with Wolves this season so far, I haven't missed a single game, that includes the dire league cup match at home to Swindon & all away games. I'm quite proud of myself :D haha

Thinking back to websites, "back in the day" there was a place called audiogalaxy.com which was essentially an illegal music file-sharing website which specialised in dance music. Someone recommended it to me and I think it got shut down that week! It's back now, but like Napster it's all above board now as far as I know. :)
