Wakey
I don't understand? It is just a cash-in tho, how many classics albums have we seen over the past few years?!
bigsteve
It is just a cash-in tho, how many classics albums have we seen over the past few years?! I think thats the point. They all have very similar tracks on, but in a different running order. We'll probs all end up with this for Xmas, from the relative that knows we like music, but doesn't know what to buy
Wakey
I'm with ya, I thought the point was something to do with the crasher name being used!?
Neuro
Even though the compiler has sneakily tried to pass off more recent tunes as 'Classics', as I say every time a new one of these comes out - is it a yearning for the old softer trance sound back :?:
dormouse
I happen to know one of the people involved with compiling some of the Cream and Godskitchen compilation albums, and I've never found a problem with the track choice on those before.... it's only MOS ones I have a problem with. I think you're right about it being a longing for the old sound Tim, but only as a reference point I think. You can never forget the true classics! Aza
Some classics Id rather forget now - the more classical they become, the more commercial and boring they eventually get. For example: Cafe Del Mar
Wakey
yeah I wouldn't class many of the tunes on that album as classics, apart from a few on the first disc. I remember seeing the advert for this on TV and thought it seemed pretty shocking, don't think I'll be buying it.
