Trance Nation Mixed By Above & Beyond

Did a search on this, but couldn't find no threads...

Came across this the other day and as I am a BIG fan of the TN series, especially and probably only Ferry's efforts - although Jules did a few, but they are crammed with tune, heavily edited and IMO not as well mixed - I was keen to see what this is like.

I think CD2 has proven to be my fave, but just wanted to share this since I've found a comp in this series that finally gives itself some traditional reputation...

Is it worth getting Aza? Is it just a reflection of a recent A&A set? Not too sure I'd be so keen if it is.

The compilation market's gone to hell recently. I used to live for some of them years ago. The Gatecrasher series, Jules' Clubbers guide, the early Euphoria's, some of the Global Underground stuff. I suppose the advances of the internet and everyone's live sets being available everywhere mere hours after they're finished, meant the compilation market's not as lucrative anymore. I liked that JOOF triple cd recently though. Saw that recommended on here and got that.

I guess you could say it is a reflection of a set of theirs, but then again, a lot of the compilations released by artists (even the reputable one's we mention) are in some way a reflection of their sets at that respective time.

I got it because I'm a fan of the TN series and from checking out a few of the sample tracks found it to be worthwhile in checking out. Since then I've enjoyed listening and feel it's a good addition to the TN series.

its not a bad cd, iv got it

some say its like marmite, this cd, you love it or hate it

i've many negative reviews about it, by people saying its dull and doesnt work and its not as good as the anjunabeat compilations they do.....difference is this is music off ALL labels not just anjunabeats and is a true reflection of there sets

personally i like it, and prefer CD2
