Charlie Lane
Just going through some great Jules shows from 2004-2008 and at the start of show the cut up boys introduce it with their Cut up Cut mix, Whats is everyones views on this? I personally think it's fantastic and have followed them ever since first discovering them!
FuzzY-LogiC
I personally have nothing in particular against the cutup boys mix, though it does tend to be a bit tedious when I listen to those livesets today. Back then, I remember it as being a quite good funky/commercial start to the friday evening.
Quadrant
I hated it. Passionately. Back in the millennium era, if I missed 5 minutes of Jules's Friday show I'd be well annoyed as I might have missed a great track. During the era of the Cut Up Boys, I would often go out of my way to deliberately miss the start of the show and only start recording 10 mins later when Jules "started" playing some tracks. It is very clever but really apart from that I just considered it as time eaten out of Jules's show and therefore less time for him to showcase an extra new track or two. Just my opinion sir, no offence meant of course. If it's opened up another avenue of electronic music for you, then it's done a good job hasn't it really
