thirddrive Posted December 2, 2005 Author Posted December 2, 2005 Kids - Jules said he probs won't play it at Slinky cos Randy Katana is on after him or something, but at his second gig tonight! But ask him about it if you get the chance. That'd be awesome! Let me know how that goes. I'll try and upload something - i'm not at Uni atm, went home for the weekend, but i'll give it a go somehow. BUT - full premiere on URN this Monday night at 9pm on Pure Dance Anthems... Quote
Si_E_P Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 meeting jules at midnight ish, ill ask him about if not ill ask robin who will know. Quote
dormouse Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 I didn't know anything about this! Jules was followed by Randy Katana last night, so the only Katana track he played in his set was the DJ Sammy remix. Met Randy last night, he's very small, as Jules said! Quote
dormouse Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 It went very well. Pete took loads of photos, so they'll be on Jules.net early this week. Jules also recorded his set to post as the 'December Mix' on the site aswell. No hiccups this time, and SI EP got to meet Jules briefly too. The set Jules played was brilliant - new Marco V tune (great bassline!). Richard Durrand, Peetu S, DJ Sammy vs Randy katana, new Jules tune, Marcel Woods 'fauna', Vrantique, Lume, Keep Me Running. The Opera House is a stunning venue aswell. Excellent stuff. Quote
bigsteve Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 Sounds an excellent night 8-) Never been to the Opera House, but it sounds dead good. Wasn't there something in Mixmag recently about it being sold off or something? Quote
Chrissie Brown Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 Are there two rooms or is there just a main room. What's the capacity(approx) Quote
dormouse Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 I think so, not sure. Just the 1 room, but it's so impressive, with a balcony-type thing. Great venue. Quote
Si_E_P Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 howdy all, indeed what a night (oh yes, Dormouse will remember y i put that), the capacity of room one is roughly 1800 inc the balcony, room 2 which usually hosts drum & bass holds around 4-500. As far as im aware, yes the rumours were true about the opera house being sold, but just before the deal went through Hed Candi came in and put their night in and the money from that saved it. Quote
bigsteve Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Thats the 1st bit of good news surrounding Hed Kandi I've heard :!: Glad to hear its been saved tho - any pics from there always look amazing. Is Slinky still weekly, or has it now gone monthly :?: Quote
Si_E_P Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 weekly, i got 3 pics on my fone but my fone ran out of memory, my new fone arrives today, so jules face got blurred where it ran out of memory, great pic of dormouse tho, ill see what i can do on posting Quote
Aza Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Marco V tune (great bassline!). what tune was this mate? Was it "Calling The Shots"? Bought this album from Juno the other day - awaiting despatching of my cdjs today - sapphires have been sold out for over 2weeks Quote
