thirddrive Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 it's agreat comp if you can send stuff in. But i'm just liking the idea of a Chemical Records brochure, superior to HTFR in every way. Quote
JasonB Posted June 15, 2005 Author Posted June 15, 2005 Oh yess!! I gotta check out Chemicals shop in Bristol at some point! Quote
Bjorn Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 dunno bout the 'mp3 stations' they have there now, as apoose to listening to the vinyl - its all done on a computer where u listen to the mp3's instead of the actual record - i mean obviously technology is going further but there something about going to a record shop gatherign a big pile of vinyl and listening to it on a deck!! Neuro Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 i mean obviously technology is going further but there something about going to a record shop gatherign a big pile of vinyl and listening to it on a deck!! Absolutely. Couldn't agree more. Quote
JasonB Posted June 15, 2005 Author Posted June 15, 2005 Yeah I agree, although getting copies in unplayed perfect nick is tops! Quote
bigsteve Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 Yeah I agree, although getting copies in unplayed perfect nick is tops! Nothing worse than buying a reocrd from a shop that has clearly been played with in the shop. You know its new when it sort of sticks to the sleeve when you first get it out Quote
Bjorn Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 indeed that is the upside - i have seen sum terrible condition records in hmv, once sawm a candee jay record all smashed into pieces in the sleeve - i was like 'what the f***?!' Quote
JasonB Posted June 15, 2005 Author Posted June 15, 2005 ha ha thats just perfect that it was a Candee Jay un! Quote
Bjorn Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 sumone must have read 'candee jay' and gone into destruction mode!!! Quote
thirddrive Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 Next time i'm in HMV I will purposefully break all the crap records, lol, or at least any copies of Candeejay! Quote
bigsteve Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Will you invite Norris McWhirter   Quote
