HollyG Posted October 14, 2012 Report Posted October 14, 2012 Today is the day......I'm just popping out for an hour then it's straight back and into the garage to get those mix tapes. Haven't listened to them in years...so excited ! There will be various Radio 1 shows from JJ, Pete Tong & Danny Rampling dating around 1998/99-2003/04. Let's hope there are some new sets that can be uploaded.
drtim Posted October 14, 2012 Report Posted October 14, 2012 Perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon!!
Quadrant Posted October 14, 2012 Report Posted October 14, 2012 Let's hope there are! Once they're digitized you're much more likely to listen to them too That era is gold dust by the way, I think I speak for everyone on here in that we'd love to hear those tapes.
Christhebean Posted January 29, 2013 Report Posted January 29, 2013 I've been re-discovering cassette-tapes just recently as i've got a new old car, without a cd player, but with a cassette! Especially interesting are John Peel's 'Euro night' and festive 50s from the very early 80's and recordings of Passion Radio and Rock to Rock pirate stations from south London in the late 1980's. Anyone remember them?
Quadrant Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 Got loads of old tapes from London pirate stations in the 90s, the only thing I hated was they hardly ever explained what the tracks were so could never hunt down any of the gems!
drtim Posted February 8, 2013 Report Posted February 8, 2013 Feedback HollyG?? What did you discover??
Jivemaster Posted February 18, 2013 Report Posted February 18, 2013 1 post about going to converts tapes etc and then nothing..........we see this all to often!
burkey100 Posted June 24, 2013 Report Posted June 24, 2013 Found an old tape from the Berlin Love Parade with the Judge and Fergie. Top quality yee haa tunage all the way and the craic is hilarious. Miles better than the stuff on nowadays.
