Craig Bradley Posted December 2, 2012 Report Posted December 2, 2012 Hiya Guys , Done this remix of this tune jules played back in 2000 at the archers glasgow , loved the original so thought id update it no release on this just done it for my own sets hope you like it. https://soundcloud.com/craig-bradley/gate-1-the-flight-craig
milkybarkid Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 Mate, where did you get the notion to remix this one from? Such an awesome tune, thanks for reminding me of it ! Loving the update; would've bought that if you'd released it, for sure. Love when a tune that you'd completely forgot about gets an update like this, rather than the endless 'resprays' and '2012 update' you get of all the same, obvious classics. Seems the original (the 'Alive mix' that Jules played) version was not released digitally, sadly. I can find the other mixes on itunes, but not that one.
Craig Bradley Posted December 10, 2012 Author Report Posted December 10, 2012 Not sure haha i loved the alive remix jules played but wanted to do a version for my own sets as that version is really dated now and couldn't really play it out now , i've sent it to nukleuz to see what they think as they may want to release it but will see
Craig Bradley Posted December 10, 2012 Author Report Posted December 10, 2012 i will get back onto doing that lush rework at some point just trying to find time as got alot on and really want to continue with my album
Tremor Posted December 22, 2012 Report Posted December 22, 2012 I love this tune. I have it on vinyl so could try and do a rip for you MBK.. Craig - thanks for doing this remix - great to see a less obvious choice of tune to remix from this era. You've done a great job sir!
JasonB Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Yeah so annnoying the best of nukleuz green bundles don't inlcude THE version we all want of this digitally, cracking remux though bud

milkybarkid Posted February 5, 2013 Report Posted February 5, 2013 Great news mate, congrats! Nukleuz??? Looking forward to grabbing a copy of this when it's released.
Quadrant Posted February 6, 2013 Report Posted February 6, 2013 Can ask how on earth you got clearing for this? Really pleased!
Craig Bradley Posted February 9, 2013 Author Report Posted February 9, 2013 I sent it to the label owner , thanks guys i still will get onto the lush rework just need a bit more time its hard as i only get 1 night a week but will be doing it for you all.
FuzzY-LogiC Posted March 7, 2013 Report Posted March 7, 2013 Just gave it a listen on my new Yamaha monitors and I'm really liking this remake! Good job on the release! And as everyone else am I excited about the forthcoming Lush remake ;-) I'm sure it'll be worth it's wait when you get around to it. Sounds interesting with a whole album btw! Looking forward to hearing that as well.
Craig Bradley Posted March 8, 2013 Author Report Posted March 8, 2013 that's a while off yet waiting to get my headphones back from sennheiser they are being repaired at the moment , how are you mate? how are things going?
Quadrant Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 Wonderful sir. I'm still interested in the process by which this gets released when you're clearly drawing inspiration from an existing track. Does the label know this and if so, what happens? I'm just genuinely fascinated by how it works in the murky world of labels!
Tremor Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 Yeah its an interesting question Quadders... it seems the labels have all the power regarding the tracks, not the artists but my understanding is fairly limited.
Craig Bradley Posted March 23, 2013 Author Report Posted March 23, 2013 I think basically if they like the rework or updated version then they will release it , i don't think an artist really gets a say in it obviously they will get royalities but i think when you sign a track over to a label to release it becomes there property for however many years the contract states. Unless the artist really is against it then i'm not sure what would happen then.
Craig Bradley Posted March 23, 2013 Author Report Posted March 23, 2013 p.s does anyone have a rip of the time jules played the unknown track on his show instead of the live rip? i'm a bit of a perfectionist and trying to make it sound like the rip thus its sounding too much like it and that's a low bitrate and quality.
