FuzzY-LogiC
http://www.musicweek.com/news/read/judge-jules-becomes-anti-piracy-ambassador/058264 Interesting, but the article feels a bit narrow sighted by putting piracy as a whole into a box labelled 'commercial piracy'. I'm glad the focus is on the organized people making profit from illegally released music and hope it doesn't hit the many tracks people put on youtube/soundcloud. It's absolutely gold being able to browse through Discogs and have the possibility to cross reference the info with the actual track uploaded to Youtube, etc. They are illegal copies, yes. Which makes it piracy. However, the quality is often so bad that no one would ever dare to use it in a club. My just personal opinion...
Max Kane
Agree with you on all points. As someone who buys all tracks I play legit I can safely say that I would be a lot less reluctant to take a chance on some tracks just from a 3mins sample on beatport. Hearing the full track via soundcloud/youtube lets me get a proper feel for it
