Simcut Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Terrible news..... Mark Spoon who's half of Jam & Spoon and responsible for such classics as "Age of Love - Age of Love" and "Right In The Night" as well as Storm - Storm and Storm - Time To Burn, died of a heart attack, aged 39.... Absolutely gutted, RIP........ age of love is one of the greatest songs ever and I LOVED "Right In The Night" Quote
Neuro Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Markus Löffel http://www.discogs.com/artist/Mark+Spoon I remember listening to remixes of his in the early 90s, for Age of Love, Pet Shop Boys etc.... Tragic, especially considering his age I think Jules rated Jam & Spoon - 'Stella' [Columbia] as the "most original trance record ever", back in '93. Quote
Chrissie Brown Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Yes indeed it is terrible news. I really love Jam & Spoon feat. Rea Be. Angeled and have this on Vinyl. RIP Quote
Neuro Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Good PvD remix on that vinyl too, if I remember! Quote
JasonB Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I LOVED "Right In The Night, ditto got on cd and vinyl still love it! Theres two versions of that PVD mix or summat one with full vocals and one like a dub unless it actuall is a PVD dub! I thought Spoonola was older! a legend is lost. Quote
Chrissie Brown Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Good PvD remix on that vinyl too, if I remember! You have a good memory, PVD Club Mix to be precise. The other mix is called Happy People In The Morning Mix which describes how l am in the mornings. Quote
JasonB Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Happy People In The Morning Mix The name of the best mixes in existence imo of both Storm Animal and Time To Burn. Glad someones happy that early in the morning I am-ish well not happy with getting up at that time but kinda happy about working...errrm... Quote
Cliffy Burrows Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Tragic loss. Jules loved Stella. He featured it on his Ministry of Sound Classics CD. R.I.P. and thoughts to his family. Quote
