Omg I can still hear that jingle..
"it's Friday.. Yes it's Friday".
Quadders, never a truer word has been spoken!
Interesting you put that 'cos back in the day I had this argument at work with this guy who said it was 'It's Friday, lets party' or something like that...I assumed he was right as my hearing isn't that good; I thought it was what you put. (Not that it matters now as we've all gone separate ways....different companies etc)

When we were all recording Jules's Friday night 9-11pm shows back in the day, at the end of the half-hour mix when Westwood's BOMBS went off I reckon if you listened really closely you could *hear* 2,5 million people across the world jump up and stop their tape

It only stated 'white label' on the site I researched for dating it (big thanks to Fuzzy for that site). I love the mixing of 'Flesh' into 'More and More'....deafened many a passenger!

Nice little mix this, the only one I'm not really sure of is track 3. Good bit of warm nostalgia.

...like....

Tin Tin Out 'Dance With Me' featuring Tony Hadley - the Tin Tin Out mix (not the slower radio edit)
-
Had a go at uploading a couple of mixes which failed, but having just read this they should be covered by what's in the vaults anyway....

Anyone remember the Micheal Wood (historian) series 'In Search Of?'; he kicked off with a brilliant series late 70's with 'In Search Of the Dark Ages' which was never released on DVD (something to do with it being shot on 16mm?); set the tone of documentaries to come with his style being emulated by many.....(except for the tight jeans )

Cool! That's a nice bit of recognition, especially for Neuro and co...

It's sad. It's a shame. But had to come at some point. I actually like that he wants to focus on a different career while he's still young enough, to me (selfishly) it preserves the best ; better than to be cabaret another 20 years down the line (IMO - thinks back to a load of fogies chanting the lyrics to 'youth gone wild' at Rock City...oh dear... ) .
We were the lucky ones - we were there. We recognise his value to a special kind of music so am in agreement with previous posters........might even start listening again in case he starts pulling it out the bag with some forgotten classics......

The most iconic for me was at a street party - radio one PeteTong at the millennium greeting 2000 with Binary Finary....
-
Interesting, I just downloaded this without being logged in....out of interest-not that I'd know it.....
-
' tend to check out flea markets etc for 90's compilations in the hope of discovery....
-
Didn't quite work for me after being enticed by the names; no 'discoveries'....but thanks anyway....
-
OOOHHH yes.....thanks so much for IDing a track! I'm not getting the depth on my tinny speakers . I notice a lot of my references for tracks at the time are 'instrumental'......now to locate.

I agree whole heartedly with the sentiment. I hadn't realised that there was still animosity to electronic music after all this time and in this digital era. But then I don't mix in circles or read papers that question it.....

Only listened to half of this at the mo' and am well happy! as have tracks 9 and 8 together off this show, without credits, already worked out the 'Mad8' track - was poignant at the time but couldn't find the first artist to the track prior ....yippee....
Was amused by 'the Anarchist'. Hadn't kept that on tape but am glad to have a listen now. Looking forward to listening to the rest.....
UD: WOW!!!! Although the first half hour isn't really my taste wasn't expecting the quality to be upheld in the rest......really awesome, not too gimmicky, just beautiful....

Rememeber listening to this show live - The Trophy Twins must not have gotten many promos in 2004 if that piece of shite was their tune of the year
....see what you mean now I've put the tune to the artist....not blown away by this Christmas Special as it's a medley of tastes, and I've not 'discovered' anything that'd overlooked. 'Lola's theme' was never a favourite of mine but funny listening back, it's grown on me. As with the 'Alter Ego' track - Eric Pridz, I almost like it....
-
Not listened yet but have a couple of these tracks together already....will be interesting to see what the surrounding tunes are....
...have listened now but have no 'discoveries', the shouts are annoying else not bad....
-
...eerrrmmm...I have 'heard' this but not listened....(was engrossed in painting), therefore didn't distract me enough to take note other than 'that's not the mix......' will give it a blast in the car instead.

Hiya there people and welcome, tis truly a fantastic archive.....
-
Thanks....I think it works out between 30 to 40 hours worth....I've been busy in the garden over summer and had to try to set time aside. I usually try to paint for anything between 5 to 8 hours in a sesh rather than half an hour here or there as I like to get 'involved'. Must confess to it appearing a better quality on photo than in 'real life' as I'm a bit sloppy, need to improve technique. Can't imagine how the original must look in oils, am still tinkering with acrylics...
(soz if this has come up as a double post but I was sure I entered it earlier.... )

Just to say had same problem. The ones I'd tried to upload were just part mixes so I thought I'd 'done something' whilst tidying them up to upload. Will give this a listen later...
