Yeah, that one started off with the bloke talking for a few seconds & then the beat would gradually appear in the background. I used to cue the needle to where the first cymbal sound was (just after the vocal finished at the start) & it seemed to mix fine from there... Jon The Dentist - Alcohol is one that springs to mind for me. There was a part about 30secs - 1 min in where you had a short vocal sample & then the beat would suddenly kick in again & throw the mix out of sequence. Another one of those where you would have to start the tune a few beats early/late

Great job on the tracklisting yet again Burien :thumbsup: Not had chance to listen to the entire mix yet but really liking that new Jules/Tristan/Amanda tune, sounds great imo... I suspect that Muse/Robbie Rivera mash could be a Jules jobbie? If so, it's not one of his best to be honest :ermm:

Yeah, I've had this tune since about March/April. Weird how Jules has only picked up on it now? I agree with Chrissie about Richard Durand's newie, doesn't do anything for me at all I'm afraid... The Backroom 3 rocked this week imo, love that remix of Daft Punk!

I agree there, I used to love all his BXR stuff in 2001/02 with his label mates Joy Kitikonti, Ricky Effe, etc. It was a genre in itself back then! I feel like digging out all my BXR vinyl now! :mrgreen:

Funnily enough, I received HTFR's new catalogue this week. Not had chance to flick through it yet though & I don't think I'll be rushing to do so either. As they seem to specialise in DJ equipment more now rather than vinyl, Hard to Find Records sounds like a weird choice of name for them now.

I definately agree that Trance has generally slowed down pace-wise over the past couple of years or so. So much in fact that older Trance tunes from around 1999-2006 seem really pacey now compared to most Trance tunes nowadays. Back then, the general speed of about 137-140 bpm just seemed like the norm, whereas now it feels really fast. There are still some decent tunes being made from the harder side of Trance though. Producers such as Mac & Taylor, Kamui, Mark Sherry, Scot Project, etc, are really doing the job for me in that field at the moment
