Just has a look for that on discogs and its Written-By, Producer – David Rzenno
, Dirk Nothroff. i thought that closet recordings was souly for jules and mastersons tunes, but it appears that they have signed other artists from outside the fold.
*I doubt they'll get Skream and f****** Benga to play a few Joris Voorn records to cross over better from Tongey though*
Skream and benga, wont last long. its no match for real dance music, and it seems like every tune they play sounds the same.
Corstens countdown isnt too bad, but like you said, the best era was from 98-02. Trance has slowed dow quite a bit now and i havent yet found a quality replacement for jules's show.
I think dj podcasts are the way forward. anyone can churn out a pop song with a dance beat. dj podcasts these days are what that spacific dj wants to play and not taken from a playlist!
That was the first track the vengaboys did. jules seemed to play tracks like that before they became chart hits and the cheesy follow ups came. it was the same with alice deejay and ian van dahl. their first tracks were relatively dancey, but the follow-ups seemed to go in the euro pop style.
Insomniacz have just anounced that because of the great response from sundays event, they are going to do another "like its 1999" on nye! so we get another bite of the cherry!
I dont suppose anybody has jules's 1999 homelands radio1 live set from the matterly bowl estate in winchester? I have been after this set for years and have had no luck in finding it.
This was the first judge jules radio show i ever heard, this was the one that really got me into dance music. thax very muxh for the upload, i lost this tape years ago, and now i can finaly hear it again! nice one.
Just as i say that, i find a flyer given to me advertising a film called ecstasy, relesed on 20/04/2012. I dont know exactly what the film is about but im guessing the title gives the game away a little.
