Hi Tom, the Maelstrom releases have the vocal. It's at the start of the 2 main breakdowns and sounds like "Scooter de passion".
Have just found the version with no vocal, it's on the Essential Recordings release!
Hi all,
I'm looking for a digital version of 'A9' - but the only ones I can find have a short vocal in the breakdown. I'm sure the vinyl copy I own (currently in storage) and the version Jules used to play didn't have any vocal. Can anyone shed any light on this?
Cheers!
You may be correct Tremor. However it's rather odd that he would even attempt this without first adjusting the gain and pitch. Which makes me think there were other forces at play. When he mixes out of Shrink & into Darude the audio level drops considerably. Then when he switches between the 2 copies of Darude, one is stereo and the other is mono. It then remains mono until he mixes into AMP. So he was definitely having technical issues.
That first track, I don't think it's taken from the Obscure Model EP! I have found the EP, it has 4 tracks on it, none sound like Jules' first tune that night??
I'd rather remember him the way he was than watch this rubbish. How can it be that he was better at mixing with vinyl than on the Nexus 2's? It makes no sense!! Even my Dad can mix on the Nexus'
I have one of Jules' Essential Selections somewhere, i will look it out and see if it is here already. If my memory serves me correctly, on that evening he was followed by 2 x 1 hour mixes, one from PVD, and one from Ferry Corsten?
