This is one of my Favourate compilations also, would say probably my best Clubber Guide also, so many corkers!
The old Clubbers guides were very good, there were some wicked tracks on Jules mix on 1998's compilation also:
Dirty Barry - Fire Fire Fire Fire Fire, Der Der De Der, De De De Der
Dj Disco - Freakshow Of A Genius
DJ Nervous - Jack The Groove
Red Light District - Did You Hear Me
Ayla - Ayla
Shrink - Nervous Breakdown This is one of my all time fave tracks, mental breakdown, gives you real energy!
Binary Finary - 1998
Completely agree mate, you missed out one though, Sao Paulo - Be Yourself Be Free
and my god, how good Jack The Groove is
-
So ladies and gents, what were your favourite tracks from this fantastic compilation? I've been listening to this again in my car recently, f***ing AWESOME!
Here are some of my faves from the compilation:-
Conga Squad - Cumshot - Despite the bird having an orgasm on the track, this tracks me almost have an orgasm, so funky, I love it !!!! brilliant track.
Systematic Parts - Violin De La Nuit - Dirty house tune, but my god it still sounds so good, even now!!
Travel - Bulgarian (Signum Mix) - One of the greatest trance tracks ever, anyone that doesnt know this track needs a severe beating, no offence.
Rhythmatic Junkies - The Feelin' - Absolutely awesome house track, one of the best I think I've ever heard, lovely use of an air horn as well, beats the use of air horn in Horny Horns by Perfect Phase
2HD - Electric Skies - This one is a little corker that isnt really well known at all, works very well for me, typical 1999 trance, released on Tsunami I believe??
Absolom - Baby Boomers - Fantastic belgian trance which still sounds as good as it was back then, "f***ING BABY BOOMERS!"
Mike Koglin - The Silence - Still one of my favourite trance tracks, even now. I still think the Tekara Mix by Matt Darey is the best though. One of the only amazing remakes of an old track (this was originally a Depeche Mode track of course)
BT - Godspeed - Wow, I completely forgot about this tune, how good is it??? jesus.
Anyone remember any of these beauties??
-
Not heard anything back from Trevor yet mate
-
Okay, Chris Agnelli replied, said he didnt know what it is bugger
-
I remember Jules naming the track name but didn't know the artist on one of his shows, will have to try and remember, doesnt help that i had two carrier bags full of old jules recordings of old shows and mixes pinched. Would have been on one of them.
Ducky, does "Mind Blowin" ring any bells? jules played a white label later on in the following month and I've found no info about that track..... having said that it now appears that Col Hamilton played the tune and not Jules!
-
Right, I've just sent emails to Chris Agnelli (of Agnelli & Nelson), Col Hamilton and also to Trevor Reilly.....hopefully I'll get some joy somewhere
Night peeps
-
Aye mate, im off to bed in a sec though, will reply tomorrow if thats okay :-)
Night
Oh yeah, Im going to drop Trevor Reilly an e-mail and see if he knows it... I think Col Hamilton is mates with Trevor Reilly.....? might be wrong though
-
Col Hamilton eh? hmm...... interesting..... lets try and get in contact with Col Hamilton then!
Welcome to the board by the way DJ Ski
-
Lol Jules wont have this anymore, guarantee it.
-
I have a company car and when i switched jobs and handed back the old car i accidently left them in the boot, i phoned the next day and was told they wern't there, but i know they were, so i will never know what happened to them. I had all his live mixes and essential mixes which can be replaced off the net, but his shows can't. If anyone has recordings from his shows from 98/99 i would very much like copies.
Ive got f***ing s***loads of recordings from 98 and 99 mate....
-
I have a suspicion this could be something to do with A.M.P.
Does anyone remember the track Nam Dam - Fruits (A.M.P. Remix) - it reminds me of that a bit....
Its a shame, because its a f***ing amazing track, I cant believe nobody has claimed they produced it....
I think Jules should help us all and mention it on one of his shows....
