The point about being a dance music DJ is to seamlessly blend music together. However you choose to blend the music together should not be an issue because the thing that counts is what comes out of the speakers ultimately. Vestax's quality has always been pretty good and I think this device would help to create some interesting mix sets, owing to the immediacy of playing music from files and having one integrated unit in front of you.

CD2 should have been mixed by Tissera I think. CD2 is not representative of Jules' house/electro sets I think.

Might ask them if I can borrow one for a weekend to test it out.

Its a complete waste of time and money. The file should be left as a file.. no watermarks, DRM etc.

Uber, the arrests made were comparatively low for an event which hosted that number of people. At any large scale event with a population of 100,000+, they predict that at least 100 people will misbehave to the point of needing to be detained by police. 42 were arrested which is less than half expected for this number of people so really, its not as bad as it could have been. I do however think that the stabbing incident was totally uncalled for. Pitty about Tommy Burns... one of the more gentlemanly alum of the game.

Well, we're as good as into the summer season and I think for the first time in what seems like ages, trance music is the hottest sound this year. From the music I've been sent/checking out, the house and electro stuff sounds a little weak in comparison to the more uplifting and banging stuff. It will be interesting to watch how trance develops towards the tail end of the summer into autumn...

Don't forget his London home is in the same square as Tony and Cherie Blair's massive pile of bricks... He isn't hard up in the property stakes!

ASOT's been on Kiss for just over a year I think when Kiss re-branded and bought a couple of other radio stations. Kiss realized that they had to branch outside of London in order to compete with Galaxy. Speaking of Kiss, I found an original Kiss 100 t-shirt today in my t-shirt collection!

Haha - just realized that Xpressbeats AND the 7Digital site have incorrectly titled a lot of their tracks, giving the wrong mix titles... its a bit pathetic really.

Hey, Just wondered if any of the more techy people here could help me out with a problem please? I bought a load of classics from the Positiva/7 Digital Store, a lot of which are WMA files of songs. These won't play on my Mac (grrr.. cue the mac haters) which means they're currently unplayable. Does anyone here have the facility to convert these files into 320K MP3 files at all?!?! I agree with Chrissy and Tom... it was such a menacing tune with one helluv a breakdown! I really can't stand that 'Sun Goes Down' record by that David Jordan spanner.

Newcastle I reckon is the best place in the UK club wise, this coming from a guy who lives in London and formally lived near Manchester. Newcastle has a very wide spectrum of music and great venues. The Geordies also know how to have a damn good time and aren't afraid to let ya know!

WTF? That's terrible news. He was definitely making all the right moves to forge himself a great career in dance music. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

I'm a bit of a Radio 2 man during the day when I'm not checking out promos or recording. I tend to keep BBC News 24 on a lot because when you're working with music, you can't really have another track going on in the background.

I agree with parts of what you say, especially about the men in suits! Thought it was quite interesting that on ep1 the two toffs thought they were superior owing to them not having regional accents...
