Welcome sir! Your caps lock got stuck
Sometimes you get lucky with the buying the promos before it was actually released, but it's a bit of a lottery. For example, the CD promo here could have it:
-
I was in Bar M for this. Happy Days
I love hearing this. I always wonder what the people who were clubbing then are doing now. If you can hear the atmosphere on the radio recording even now, then just imagine insde the club.
-
Lol, as I said in the other thread, Tiesto - height of cockness in this, just so arrogant in his soundbite to Jules

Aha, we've all done that. Stop/start/stop with the tape recorders!
-
Sorry to interrupt your discussion sirs but WHAT a match Spain produced yesterday. Wonderful display

In my lowest moments, music has always kept me going. I would ever go as far as to say that it has helped me though every single bad moment in my life!
One of things that fascinates me is how a specific track will trigger a memory. I once won on the horses and came back and fell asleep to Revelation - King of Clubs in my headphones. Now, years later, whenever I hear that track, it take me straight back to that time of that horse win, and I love that.
Music is so powerful. Let it help you - for it is the medicine of the mind.

He hits the stop button on it the wrong deck on Vicious Circles when it hits the breakdown! Can't do that on ableton!
Om my, he does as well. How can you do that on live radio! Easily done I guess, forget which deck is playing...
The two Moogwai remixes in this download are superb, love them.
-
'have tracks 12 and 13 together ....
:rubbish: ....just checked and in my usual haphazard way I've cut them up so there's no flow....
What do you mean? Sorry I didn't understand!
-
One for a label to sign!
-
Maybe I got it wrong with Dj Dero. Need to check this but it's definitely another bootie sir.
Nice remix of North Pole as Neuro mentioned - nice to hear as the original mix was smashed by everyone else.
-
My apologies, I miss understood "least negative sides" with boring.
-
England have been far too negative for years and play the most boring football imaginable - regardless of the manager (hence why I don't bother watching England these days).
You need a dose of patriotism sir! God Save The Queen!
-
Never mind the divorce - really sorry to hear about the loss of your tapes!! They are gold dust.
The soundcloud link should embed itself btw... try making it a proper URL sir
-
Hugely enjoyable this sir! Some excellent tracks (always leads me to an mp3 buying spree - you've just cost me £5.97 already).
You should have a soundcloud account - easier to stream this then and more people can listen ad libitum.

As a Irish man I was quite upset to see England lose.
I would have thought you would like us to lose sir! Irish and English are not the greatest of friends, historically. Except in the clubbing world... I have hugged many and vice versa
-
Rather odd that Tristan would put Jake as a sibling on his FB page.
How bizarre. Really!?
Anyway I guess at the end of it all, it's all about the music. Luckily we have the archives on here to reminisce at least.
-
Lyndon spot on, lol Owen should replace Rooney with the broken leg btw. Still class... probably going to Stoke this year.
-
I like Roy too. He is at that perfect age where he commands respect with all his experience, and doesn't strike me as a panicker; rather, measured and collected.
Losing in the QFs is probably about right for England at this stage. If they make the Semis of the World Cup now that would be a great effort. Just need to work on retaining the ball better.
Rooney clearly wasn't fit and I would have picked Defoe ahead of him yesterday.
-
Excellent quality mp3.
Good re-work of Robert Miles's "Children" in here, going to purchase this now! Thanks sir!
-
Good show, particularly the Housier stuff at the beginning.
That Johny Walker track seems to heavily use DJ Dero's "Radikal" if I'm not mistaken?
-
Good points by milkybar above.
It was a difficult time for DJs - I remember the fierce CD vs Vinyl debate and Jules pounced early on the CDJs, although I don't think his tracks changed too much in 2002 as he would still have been sent some vinyl through the post. I know this because he used to rip a lot of vinyl for his sets.
But you are right that something changed. I'm not sure he always had a "filterer" because he used to pride himself in taking 2 whole days to sift through all the vinyl.... but I think with the volume of mp3s coming in it became impossible to continue that - although I would hasten to add that the explosion in digital choice did dilute the quality available for other DJs too.
As a beast, DJs have to be flexible and Jules has certainly been willing to do that over the last 25 years. Whilst we're all here bemoaning his abandonment of his 1998-2001 sounds, I know that those who loved his early 1990s House sets were also up in arms when Jules jumped fully on the Trance wagon in late 90s... It depends on what you experienced at the time.

Very pedestrian, interspersed with poor finishing from both sides.
Fingers crossed this next half will be better!
GO England!
