  1. I'm just finishing off listening to this mix and, again, I'm well impressed. Yet more flawless mixing with spot on timing and a selection of harder trance classics than your average classics mix, which for me, made it stand out from the crowd. Great stuff, Paul Hopefully I'll download another mix tomo and give it a listen. Mixtastic mate
  2. I enjoy being able to download a tune at a reasonable price and playing it straight away on my CDJ. However, I much prefer playing vinyl and mixing with it. Maybe I'm just a traditionalist?
  3. Yes, a thanks from me to Wakester and JCB also. A sterling effort all round
  4. lol A double CD release, mixed by Armin. He releases it every year, including a huge amount of tunes which you get to hear only about 90 seconds of each. Then between Xmas and New year, Armin's regular ASOT radio show broadcasts effectively what is on the CD.
  5. Sorry, Aza, I forgot about one problem - the early fading out of Ratty! I know you had to be under 80 minutes, but there was a good 5 minutes still left! Criminal
  6. Aza, I'd just like to say I've had an amazing 1:14:20 listening to your mix A fantastic seletion of tunes, mixed in your usual, flowing, interesting and flawless way  Shine
  7. I suppose really we should all have a 2nd external hard drive to back up the main one. But, where do you stop? Even CDs can go wrong!
  8. Good luck with it Simon. I don't want to dampen your spirits too much, but I had a pen drive that went haywire. I paid to download some recovery software, and this got back about 2/3 of what I'd lost. Hopefully you will have more success
  9. I'm up for some of that!
  10. Man, that is not good news. I have recently bought an external hard drive, to try and avoid a situation that you're in, but it seems hard drives don't solve the problem either You can't beat vinyl can you? Seriously though, I would be mortified if that happened to me. I'm sure if you PM'd a few people on here, they could be able to assist you in directing you as to where to get the important files back from
  11. Yep, it'll be broadcast as a single Megamix. Why people buy this when it will broadcast, baffles me :ermm:
  12. I'm downloading Aza's right now and will work through the rest of them as time allows. There are some awesome tunes in the TLs, notably mostly classics! Way to go fellow JJA-ers  And after the words of people complimenting people that aren't perfect beatmatchers, I've now got the confidence to do a Secret Santa next year Congratulations everyone for taking part.
  13. Agreed. I'm rather proud of myself in talking my Dad out of buying one. He has a high quality turntable and just needed a lead and CD-Ex which you can download for free. Someone is seriously at it with these USB TTs.
  14. Cheers, Jason, just grabbing it now. Not heard Ken Doh-Nakasaki in ages!
  15. Not sure if the sets are going to be available to other board members, but I'm keen to grab Sir Aza's and also the one with Ken Doh in it. I know I didn't participate with a mix of my own, but it is Christmas
  16. I use Cd-Ex to record and convert my mixes to MP3 all in one go. Its a freebie to download and I've never had any issues with it. I use all the standard settings in Cd-Ex, but have to play about with the outputs from the mixer to get it too sound right. Takes a bit of playing around with, but once you get it right, write down what settings suit you best, as someone is bound to alter them at some stage

I think cash machines inside casinos should be banned.

    Lottery

The lottery has a very poor rate of return, with only 50% of the money going in, coming back out in prizes. The rest goes to the government in taxes, to 'good causes', the retailer and of course Camelot. http://www.national-lottery.co.uk/player/i...=wheremoneygoes And don't get fooled by thinking that this is a good way to give to charity (think Dome). If you want to give to charity, put a pound in a jar of your choosing. Having said all that, if your 6 numbers do come up, you're sorted... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/norfolk/5177682.stm
  19. Get downloading some of the old Jules sets - it worked for me

    Calendar?

Ah right...sorry...bit of a misunderstanding there. No doubt Quadders will come up with something (hint, hint!)

    Lottery

There is an element of enjoyment with gambling...its when it turns to addiction that there's a problem.
