December 97 is the other issue i've ordered, couldn't find the one from Jan. 98...
Do you still have the pages from the May 98 issue and can you check if it covers the shows in the 4 four weekends between 1998-02-27 - 1998-03-21??
It might just be my logic that's upside down, but I think it should cover these...

Hello everyone
As I mentioned in another thread, I've been playing with the thought of hunting down some Mixmag magazines in the search for the missing TL's, so that the Tracklisting Archive can be as complete as possible.
We know Mixmag printed TL's of Jules' fri/sat shows in a period... maybe they stopped when they also stopped printing Essential Selection TL's (issue 93 according to http://sbradyman.angelfire.com/ess-selection.htm)... no one seems to know exactly... or do you JasonB? You mentioned May 23rd in the other... which would be Issue 86 as the last with Jules TLs? Or have I misunderstood you?
So, I gave it a chance and ordered two Mixmag issues on Ebay. The first landed in my mailbox this morning.
I ordered the June 98 issue, hoping it would contain the TLs from March, but unfortunately it only contain TLs that we already have in the archive (1998-03-27 - 1998-04-25)... oh well :boohoo:
At least that gives me an idea about which issues contains TL's from which shows! (compiling a spreadsheet now! )
Does anyone (JasonB??) have the May 1998 Issue (#84) of Mixmag? That should cover at least 8 shows that there's no TL's for in the archive.

Oh yes.... more old gold from the bold in the fold!
Can anyone help ID no. 5? It's been haunting me... I'm sure it's a very known track from Bonzai or something similar

Oh how I wish someone had scanned all Mixmag issues and made an online archive....

@JasonB: Cheers for that info! So you're saying Mixmag stopped printing TL's from Jules' show in May 98? I remember Jules saying in a show that the TL's were printed in both the Mixmag and the Ministry magazine... do we know if Ministry printed them after Mixmag stopped?
@Neuro: I'll let you know if I find anything useful! ;-)

I had forgotten about that site!!
I noticed his comment "comment: tracklisting for essential selection printed in Mixmag (Issue 81) "...
I've recently been wondering if it's possible to find some Mixmag issues from 1998 and 1999 with TL's of Jules' friday/saturday show.
Does anyone know if Mixmag had these TL's from Jules' show in 98/99?
I've found some 1997/98 issues on ebay, but wanna know if they have the TL's before I order them

Another comment dug up from an old post on this very board: http://www.judgejulesarchive.co.uk/archives/board/index.php?/topic/24-gladiator-download-coming-soon/#entry1116
"hi there. just to let u know i spoke to jules via the gift of pen paper and over the decks at the time of him playing his mix of gladiator at slinky the day before homelands that year".
So it seems there are at least four known gigs where Jules played the tune...
2001-04-29, Qontact2001-05-25, Slinky2001-05-26, Homelands2001-??-??, Gatecrasher (confirmed by Jivemaster)
I seem to remember someone saying they had the Slinky set recorded (maybe even from the booth)....I'm not sure though as it's been years. -
I just went through my dusty Gmail drawer and found a reply from Jules regarding my first inquiry about his Gladiator track back in February 2005.
His reply:
Unfortunately I've mislaid it. I've had quite a few emails asking about the
track, but changed studio and engineer about 18 months ago, and haven't been
able to locate it since.
Sorry!Anyone know which studio he was at before the move and who the engineer was?
-
haven't listened to anything new in that area for a while, so giving this a chance

In the mean-time, does anybody have this Hans Zimmer - Gladiator Theme (Judge Jules Remix) (Tim Traill's Acetate Reconstruction)? I saw that Fuzzy posted it a good 5 years back.
Check your PM mate

PvD's set is here:
Maybe it was a "warmup" event before they started the "real" Dance Party tour...
Edit: Seb mentions
"Paul Van Duk in the mix, on Dance Anthems" "Radio 1, George Square, part of BBC Music Live".
So it's not officially a Dance Party. -
TL added to thread and archive... now with labels

One single post is enough to download from the archive!
If you have tried to download anything before your first post, you should have received a message informing you of just that fact

Cool!!
You probably have contributed them, but it seems they were never added to the TL archive.
All the entries in the archive that has a little star next to the date means there is no TL for that entry.
Could you transcribe the tracklist for the 16th January show from the March issue?
Also the Feb 98 issue, find the TL for November 28th and Dec. 5th?
That would be immensely appreciated!
