  1. i get it all the time. I've brown hair so my stubble is noticeable - not good for my job! BUT I love having stubble. It's that bit of rough that makes being a bloke, a bloke! I'm not lazy, i just think i look about 12 years old when my chin is as smooth as a silk purse. Now my head hair is getting long (very, very long - i'm growing it) the stubble really looks the part, it pains me to shave it for work. I come out with a very painful red rash and usually blood. I've tried explaining this too my work supervisors but they wont listen. It's simply, "Shave it off, i dont care"...shaving for me is agony.
  2. i'm one of these that does soup for lunch. Usually heinz chicken. I'll occassionally do pasta and chicken too. I need to sort my diet out big time this year.
  3. Although his new sound is "Cheeky" i find it has a lot of "oomph" which i would have thought Jules would have gone for. It's definately the sound someone like Kutski would play though. Jules is odd with the tunes he supports. He hasn't really been playing much Richard Durand stuff lately has he? Jules seems to go through phases where he'll support a producer, get them well known and get them remix/production work, then wont bother supporting them anymore once they have "made it". I think he's doing this with Will Atkinson at the minute.
  4. i think it just shows how bad a year its been for tunage. Why was Lifter played? That was Ibiza 07 wasnt it? or am i going mad?
  5. i think anything of a thick, slimey texture, thats off colour, is usually a bad look. I also hate eye-boogers...people shower in the morning FFS!
  6. i'm exactly the same with Salad Cream. It makes me gag when i see people with on the sides of their mouths... *shudders*
  7. i hate mayonaise, it just reminds me of *something*. Needless to say i just cant eat it!
  8. this looks pretty hot, gonna grab this one! Look at that half hour mix!
  9. Ohh god i forget my favourite...i think it was "Ruth 24 from Lancashire" or something like that. All i remember is she was blonde, cracking pair of boobs and had a very nice behind...
  10. yeah, for me none of the remixes since the original set back in 2000 came close to be good. This one works really really well. It fits and they've not over complicated matters. In my opinion, this is easily the best mashup jules has supported this year.
  11. i love that Gareth Emery/Delerium mashup. I think it works really well, i've heard it in a club and it does the business. Its actually one of the few mashups that i do like.

oh man, serisouly, it is. I'm not the only one thinking it either. Firstly, record labels cant be making as much money as what they used to. Surely in the end, this will force certain labels to close up shop. File sharing networks haven't helped things either. If i was in a band and new my material was just being downloaded for free, i'd be pretty p***ed off. Also theres now no way artists can build any hype on a tune, people simply look on said file sharing websites and download it. We've certainly not had a band that are like Oasis, or Radiohead or anyone like that - big big bands since the download revolution. With dance music for example, gone are the days where a white label would come around getting everyone buzzing for that particular tune. It's now a case of someone making a tune in their bedroom and uploading to an online shop. Sometimes the really good tunes just get lost in the sheer amount of releases. Tunes now are just so much more diposable.
  13. Whilst that is a valid point, you also got stuck with mixes on vinyl that you never ever play and were effectively paying for tracks you didnt even like. I like the fact that i can simply pick the mix i like and just have that. Whilst MP3's cant be resold, thats just down to the demise of vinyl, that not the "fault of the mp3" if you like.

the internet is killing everthing isnt it. I suppose its only progression. But i think Internet has sort of destroyed music somewhat too.
  15. i dont mind paying for music so i have re evaluated my opinion on this. At the end of the day tune ARE STILL CHEAPER than they used to be. I love Beatport and will not stop using it. For my house needs, its by far the best online store - and when i bought traktor scratch, i got £50 in vouchers, well well chuffed.
  16. Surkin "White Knight 2" (Laidback Luke Mix) is a pure killer. Also, still on Paolo Mojo "The Dancer"
  17. i have a strong dislike for Mashups. BAck in the late 90's they were clever and exclusive (you had to get the white label) now they just half arsed, most of them as you can bag online. I'm also getting annoyed with "updates" of tunes from the 98-99 era. Why? My blessed "Tocas Miracle", good update, but NOT NEEDED! Jules does go way OTT on them aswell. But, how ironic is it that the track i love so much, and probably my favourite (Tocas Miracle - yes i know, it holds so many wonderful clubbing memories back in 2000, and it gets me everytime) is originally a mashup!?!
  18. and i have to say people, this absolutely blows Serato out of the water. I sold my Serato set to get Traktor and everything about it is better than Serato. The first thing that hits you is how clear the sound is, its phenomanal. Secondly, the software is spot on, sure it needs a lot of memory, but this is way more powerful than Serato, looping is an absolute joy thanks the the beatgridding - you can actually mix using loops, its that precise. This should really be the industry standard, replacing Serato, i guess people just aren't ready for it yet. If you've heard James Zabiela in the last year you'll know how good this kit is. PS can someone change me back to Moonman, i cant post in that account!
  19. Thats the whole point of it though. People who wanna still use Technics (or cdjs for that matter), but be able to play the latest tunes, it makes total sense. I bet Jules will start using either this or Traktor soon. He's already stated he's checked it out when the likes of Simon Patterson etc started to use it.
  20. thats why Serato is the future. Just slap the usb lead into your computer, and you can play downloaded tracks from beatport etc through the timecoded vinyl on your 'tables. You get the best of both worlds. The software is as solid as a rock too. I've never had it crash on me or never heard it crash in a club.,
  21. Serato not the industry standard!?! I have seen this being used in pretty much every club i goto these days - Even the chavvy ritzy sorts in town. You CAN use it with CDJ's or Technics. In my opinion every DJ will be playing like this in about 2 years. Fuzzy, Serato does allow you to loop and chop, as does Traktor. Pretty much, everything a CDJ can do, Serato and Traktor can do and more. I've had CDJs and while technically they are good, is the Technics that i've still got and still enjoy.
  22. thats guys hair is positively awful. Highights just look so wrong on an adult male. Also, that suit is quite ill fitting. That guy actually looks like an old He-Man figure i used to have when i was little....
