JasonB
Yeah thats my poroblem with Annie Mac really, playing what others are playing already, although she does play some stuff others on the station don't which is kinda nice.
Robin
... look out for a possible syndication of ASOT - Armin van Burren via Emap radio stations soon... perhaps R1 have heard wind of this and want to boost trance music output more...hmmmm as it stands globally (because its all about the global) top 3 are... 1 - tong 2- jules 3 - armin (thank god i've got jules and armin on my labels!!!) JasonB
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/schedule/sept06.shtml Having looked at the full schedule its a bloodey sham, why do the trophies need two shows? ones enough! the Blue Rooms gone whihc is bloodey stupid, Westwoods only going to have the one show now after all this time yay. these INMWT one hour shows seem a waste of time, especially Jo whiley along with Annies hour on sunday, and eddie on a thursday morning seems bloodey daft too. I see Goldfinger and the Essential Mix move back to their kinda origibal tiesm (well from what I used to know/like it at). Overall not liking it, but well since when does Radio 1 care about listeners views!
Max Kane
Rubbish really, some good additions but some shocking ones, basically Westwood has 2 shows with the INMWT hour ajnd his saturday one and then we have to suffer another bloody hip-hop show on a friday with 1xtra. I may never listen live again and just listen again to Eddie & Jules from time to time, also Annie Mac is a waste of time, it's just watered down buzz words and bandwagon jumping music for people who are too cool for school, i.e. they like whatever they are told is fashionable. bigsteve
Hmm, thats a bit rubbish, but I'll probs just use Listen Again anyway. Tong loses an hour off his Friday show, but gains a new 1 hour midweek show, doing In New Music We Trust http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/schedule/sept06.shtml

Max Kane
Tong losing an hour will hopefully mean he'll play less hip-hop and other related sh*t and focus upon house music.

Max Kane
Will he be playing pop/chart music to blend in from Scott Mills before him? He does though usually, the first few tunes are always records that have been gaining commercial success, though they very rarely differ from his main style much. Certainly nowhere near as much as Jules has to

Quadrant
What is all this 'blending' crap though? Surely the whole point of radio is to have different shows housing different genres presented by specialist DJs. By blending the tail-ends and starts of each show, they're not kidding anyone except themselves. We all know the shows are different and we want them to stay that way, not sound all similar :? Max Kane
Exactly Quad, it doesn't matter if Trevor Nelson started playing 10mins of trance to finish his show i still wouldn't listen as i don'tr respect his knowledge of the music much in the same way that i imagine rnb fans don't want to listen to Jules playing their favoured music over the top of dog awful house. I listen or should i say listened to Jules' show as i wanted to hear the tunes that Jules was supporting and playing out, not so that i could tailor my whole night to R1 and get a gradual progression through the whole evening. When will they learn that Jules fans turn on at 7 and no ealier and that Nelson fans turn off as soon as Jules comes on?

Briggsy
Rumour has it, that the BBC's 6 o'clock news are starting with a 'Neighbours' feature from 25th September Yeah, and an Only Fools and Horses special on October 3rd is going to follow Eastenders. In order for them to "blend" properly, Peggy Mitchell is going to work part time in The Nags Head to keep Eastenders fans tuned in. Rumours are the Del could also be opening his own stall in Albert Square too.
