Seaking1 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 It's the mix from D5.B into Caned and Unable that really got my attention!!! I loved it back when I was a youngster and used to try and replicate it on my decks all the time! It must have been absolutely banging in Media when he dropped it!!! Cheers for the upload. I wore my cassette out years ago!!! Quote
Spin Doctor Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 05. Patrick F - 'Bom Bom' [bass City] 06. Joshua Ryan - 'Pistolwhip' [NuLife] Excellent mix between these two tracks, which must have sounded outstanding live. Quote
Big_Bad_Bob Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Wow, wow, wow! Just signed up to this site to download an Essential Mix from 1997 and found this one too. I live in Nottingham - and was at this event. It was right at the end of my most active clubbing days. Can't believe I'm going to get to hear it again all these years on... ...is your mid-late 40's too old to get back into the scene? Thanks again! 1 Quote

Spin Doctor Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 I've listened to this set countless times in the last 20 years - live, on tape, a rubbish Soulseek rip and this one too - and to echo Fuzzy's comments above, it has to be one of my favorite Jules' recordings. The energy and atmosphere crammed into this set are superb as is the tune selection. The mix between Patrick F and Joshua Ryan remains outstanding and a superb example to anyone why key mixing is an important skill. It's also apparent just how good the Angelic releases were as commercial recordings; just enough commercially acceptable elements to attract wide interest with enough dance floor and underground appeal not to alienate the committed or sound out of place. Great set. Quote
lee_nemesis Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 Just listened to this set and I agree one of the best live sets with an awesome selection of high energy tunes, thanks for posting Quote
