Judge Mental
http://www.discogs.com/release/65265 Pretty much the entire album, kinda forgot I had the 'cassette' that I bought in probably 1992 like it says, and totally forgot how good it was til I put it on my iPod for the walk to the shop there. Brilliant stuff. Especially : "my mind must be free" and of course the absolute classic that is Proper feel good music and I'll never get tired of doing 'air drums' with something good. Bloody hell I bought that 16 years ago, starting to show my age here
Max Kane
Not really random but I can't stop listening to The Strokes lately, easily established as one of my favourite bands since I managed to blag a copy of their debut album on US import, so many great tracks
Judge Mental
Probably my 2nd favourite video after Feist - 1234. In fact I think its my favourite, hmmm, lol. Monkey on the drums, genius!NSFW and may cause offence, but is brilliant http://youtube.com/watch?v=dHJA8M0diVw http://youtube.com/watch?v=w8-F5VmZqYw (see, I do like trance sometimes ) Stunning! Wish I could be as talented as that at anything lol.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-21QK9F1NWc Best drummer ever in my opinion. And his chance to show off Again, sheer talent on show. Watch part 2 as well, its incredible: Bloody 14 minute drum solo at that speed. Especially like it when he puts his sticks down and just uses his hands http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsmIjxD6tnM played this at so many parties, and it honestly has never failed to get people dancing and smiling, proper feel good song, and 29 years old Funny as f*** too
Judge Mental
Ever noticed these two classics are essentialy the same song? If you don't believe me learn them both on the guitar Iggy Pop - The Passenger http://youtube.com/watch?v=QEY6_jcrzI8 (that homemade videos cool) and http://youtube.com/watch?v=wFBuFGG_04o Both good but! edit: in fact, open both at the same time, the chords are almost exactly in tune
Moonman
i've always been into "guitar music", being a player myself... my favourite being THIS also like this and this on a more recent tip, this too this too! school memories more school memories this could have been any from a pick of about 15 from rock n rolls last great band <-------- i'm a massive fan of them, the last quarter of the track is sheer euphoria thanks mum for getting me into these guys when i was young! whilst pops got me into these... and the first track I EVER bought with my pocket money from andy's records and the current fave! Judge Mental
Nelly Furtado ft. Timbaland - Promiscuous LOL, I like that too believe it or not, not generally a fan of the stuff you hear on the radio, but while we're at it: [shame] http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=RXTACtBSY1U Possibly added by the fact that I want to shag her stupid, especially the wet hair bit. One of the best singalong songs we've ever had in the kitchen and we sing along a lot and http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nCISSGjcHL4 reminds me of singing along to it everytime I done a breakfast shift when it came out Mind how I said earlier its not a guilty pleasures thread, scrap that [/shame]
Moonman
oh no, i genuinely do like all the track i mentioned - even Vanilla Ice. If that track is so bad, then why does it still get played nearly 20 years after its initial release!
Judge Mental
That was my point, I've got no shame in admitting my guilty pleasures, even though I said earlier thats not what this topic was about
Judge Mental
1st tape I ever bought, must have been about 7 or something It was dance music all the way since then! Used to jump off my chest of drawers on to my bed when it kicked in http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Nb-Be4zrmdk To think I'd just got a turtles movie tape for xmas, and asked my mum to buy me it, turns out it was released on my 6th birthday While I'm at it http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nrvNzH9aaUE http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6YlBAs0Lfo Anyone that wants to burn a million quid as a statement is worthy of my respect Interesting documentary about it here: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=2_GjZ7i4A6M
Moonman
The unholy trinity that i think had more bearing on me getting into house and djing than any other tunes.... The one that took me ages to find out what it was back in the day Even if you claim to dislike Speed Garage, you'll like this one. Prefer the vocal mix too! I remember hearing this on Pete Tong before going Ice Skating on a friday night, i just thought WTF! After this, it was seriously time to get some technics
