Quadrant
I am fed up of the English team and being disappointed (we won't win the Euro Championships next year), so I have adopted a new national team: San Marino. And I am deadly serious. Their last match didn't go so well (11-0) but I am confident of an increase in form as I learn more about my players. Go San Marino!! Max Kane
All the best in this futile pursuit Quadders. Wolves used to have a San Marino international in our squad (Darren Bazely)
Briggsy
Woah! Darren Bazeley! Blast from the past! If I remember rightly, he played at right-back and replaced Kevin Muscat?
Max Kane
Woah! Darren Bazeley! Blast from the past! If I remember rightly, he played at right-back and replaced Kevin Muscat? He played a lot with Muscatt - he was never any good though
Briggsy
I don't remember much of him - so there's probably a reason for that. I think he was a Mark McGhee signing - so that sums it up really. Never rated McGhee at all during his time at Wolves.
Max Kane
McGhee was a little unlucky the season we lost out to Barnsley - but then he quickly lost the plot. Colin Lee was even worse
Briggsy
Didn't rate either of them to be honest. We played some of the most boring, predictable football ever under McGhee. Oh, and he bought Mixu Paatelainen I didn't mind Taylor (until he lost the plot towards the end), I didn't mind Dave Jones and I like Mick McCarthy. Neuro
Quadders I have dug up this thread as I know you'll be watching! I am going to the England match tonight at Wembley but I'll be cheering England thanks
Max Kane
The game finished as it was always going to finish didn't it. Easy win against a very limited, but game, side. Some of the stats for SM are highly amusing mind
lyndon
We were put in our place by Poland I think earlier, getting away with a draw was a good result considering our performance. The praise for Rooney from the media is quite commical though, non of them including him played as well as they could (even Gerrard). But I can't help but think if that was Michael Owen or David Beckham playing 10 years ago like that, there would of been retirement calls. On the scoresheet or not.
