milkybarkid
I wouldn't call that a sample, but Thankyou for ruining one of my favourite records. You've shattered so much. Omg. Figures tho. Erm... eh???
drtim
Some real tripe here people!! For me 'Lizard' & 'Nightmare' will always have a special place in my heart, not just because I first heard them on fantastic nights out, but because I do think they are genuinely special records. Ayla - 'Ayla' features in many a Top 10 list, but i have never understood the fuss!
Number2Fan
Oh no no no no no. Ayla is perfect. I love it. Can't describe how it makes me feel when I hear even a smidge of it. In fact just imagining the first few notes as I type this, makes me feel like I'm in love, inside!! MBK now whenever I play a bit of Westbam, which is probably at least bi-monthly I will envisage Sonic and Tails. And my son is currently in a Sonic the Hedgehog phase too... JasonB
Brainbug - Nightmare I was never fussed about sisniter string smixn wise, the phat manhatten mix was the one for me.
lennox2s2s
I liked the Jules remix of Nightmare to be honest
Tremor
Oooh contraversial thread... I like many of the tunes that people have mentioned - most of the choices have been from the peak era of music for me personally and I couldn't fault much from that era. There are a lot more tunes of recent years that I have no idea why people rate so highly but I'm not sure they count as classics anyway. System F - Out of the Blue was a huge tune for me, as was Lizard. I also really likes 'As The Rush Comes' but only the Gabriel & Dresden Mix. lyndon
I always prefered this version of Lizard, the original never had enough in it for me:- I can't say I disliked any dance track to a bad extent, but I never got 'Dark Side of The Moon' by Ernesto too much if i'm honest. MikeW
Just thought of another one that bugs me which is John O'Callaghan - Big Sky... It was a tune that was way overplayed at the time & it was probably played by every DJ at every trance night I went to at the time! It's got to the point now where I can't bear to listen to that vocal anymore.. :wall:

JasonB
Dark Side was well overated, The singer sounded miserable, and thus made me feel miserable every time I heard the tune.
Simcut
Really shocked at some people's choices in here, really interesting I too hated Get Down by Paul Johnson, very well suggested jacamo
Number2Fan
I really hate Get down too. Could never understand why someone would play it. Lol But now if I hear it, it does take me back, I still hate it but it has a taste if that time about it!! I also hated that one that goes "I've got so much love to give" over and over. lennox2s2s
Eric Prydz - Call on Me I hate this track so much, I bet you Eric is embarrassed that he produced such rubbish. The vocals are terrible, "please call me...". I was never a fan of Paul Johnson - Get Down either
Number2Fan
Alison Limerik - where love lives I just hate it, I think it's shit.

The vocals are terrible, "please call me...". The vocals are shit lol. It's a sample though, Stevie Winwood -Valerie which I never liked much anyway... What I hated about that was the fact the video was soft porn which got the tune played alot on shit music channels where you text to get stuff played. (Teenage boys etc) there's a fair few tunes that done the same, but this one was as close as you could get to sex without penetration!! There's many ppl who only buy tunes they've heard alot. So dirty videos sell. Not quality of music.

JasonB
Put Your Hands Up For Detroit?. Together - So Much Love To Give, you were also referring to Re Call On Me, Winwood actually recorded new vocals for the official release
JasonB
The Boy Wunda - Everybody, simple looping Strings from a Madonna track over a simple bassline with percussion and a random as hell bloke on about something random and equally pointless
