    CDJ1000 Mk3's

Mine make a bit of noise, but I've had them since 2009 and they have been fine so far.
  2. I'd love Jules to suprise everyone and throw in a few classics. But I'm deighted for him really, after all the years of service to Radio 1 it's the least he deserves. I wonder what Tong's introduction for him will be? Doubt Jules will be talking himself.
  3. Yep! Imagine the outcry if a modern DJ today pitched anything up like that! Facebook rants of "it should be 128 not 130!!" etc. Tiesto's mix of Sweet Surrender is an amazing track. It's hard to comprehend the same DJ who made that is playing what he's playing now.
  4. I wasn't old enough to go out back then although I knew and learned of tracks from around 1999 onwards, older tracks I've picked up on over time. I am old enough to go out today and have been for about the last 8 years. And even though it's a generation before me, I still think dance music was better from about 96 to 2004.
  5. I have all of those except for the first of March, although the first 10 seconds of the Ferry show seems to be missing a bit. It was all set on timer back then.
  6. Everyone heard of him in 2003 when he broke through into the mainstream with the Black Eyed Peas. His 'breaking dance music through' comment really pisses me off. Hasn't the likes of Armand Van Helden, Frankie Knuckles, Roger Sanchez plus many more been breaking dance music through Stateside way before anyone had heard of Will.I.Am? You'd of thought that the world didn't begin until 2004 with the way people talk nowdays.
  7. He's playing that Nervous Breakdown tune on almost every 1998 show I've heard. It's just one of those tracks that I could think of so many to follow it.
  8. Hmm. I remember Rapture covering a few things like that back in 2000 & 2001, I bet not all of them were recorded though. He does play 'Big Love' at the NEC in 2001 on the link Fuzzy posted. The track in question was "Bleachin - Peakin". Both the Futureshock Mix and the one Jules plays, the Darude vs Js16 Mix. Were equally as big.
  9. Remember listening to this in the car on the way back from Wales. The first time I ever heard the Dirt Devils 'The Drill', I had to buy it!
  10. Random thought. But I've just realised it's been just over a year since Judge Jules left Radio 1.
  11. She doesn't even seem to play dance music anymore by the look of the track listings.
  12. Do we already have this on here by any chance? http://www.mixcloud.com/ChunkysMixTapes/v98-judge-jules-live-golden-the-void-stoke-on-trent/
  13. Don't know if anyone else does this, I'm probably a massive wierdo or something (I'm already aware of this). But I've just woken up in the middle of the night with Robert Nickson's 'Spiral' in my head:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xtud6LypViw Brilliant tune, I have the vinyl somewhere too. But there was no reason for me to think of a track that I haven't heard in a good 4 or 5 years, I just awoke half asleep with it ringing in my ears. Another similar story was remembering Industry by The Green Martian a few years back in the same way, then buying the vinyl because of it.
  14. End of an era and all that, and everyone has their day. But there is no denying that the current dance lineup on Radio 1 is truly crap. Annie Mac is supposed to be the flagship show, and the tracklistings don't even look like dance music anymore. This era in 10 years time will be long forgotten
  15. That happens to me quite a lot! About 4 years ago I remember waking up, half asleep with 'Industry' by The Green Martian ringing in my ears. I had breakfast, found out the title & artist then ordered myself a copy off Discogs. I hadn't heard that since about 2001.
  16. That was the final release, the Novacane one I mentioned above. The clip below is the rare original version that gets played on this very essential mix, and Jules' previous Saturday night show:-
  17. I'll send you Studio 613 if you don't have it in any form. It goes under a few names online, 'Hi Boppers - Journey To The Moon' is another one.
  18. Join Me To The Moon by Studio 613 & Playa Sol by No-one Driving are actually pretty rare, you can't download them legally or illegally anywhere. I bought them on vinyl a couple of years back. The Playa Sol tune is actually a limited test pressing, as there was a version remixed by Novacane that came out in 2002 I think. The Novacane one had a woman on the vocal and sounded far weaker than the version on here. Sadly Playa Sol was broken clean in half when it came through the post (thanks Royal Mail), I got some double sided tape and strapped it to an old white label of some crap garage tune that came out of a collection. It plays all the way through, but I took some weight off the needle and captured in wav format so I could play it on my CDJ's.
  19. I think the same wav's work with all traktor versions. I have two types. I have the original 30 min wavs, or I have an 80 min version that I've multiplied to fill up a disc.
  20. Worth a look into then! I find it amazing that, if that was the case. No labels were interested in this. I haven't heard a recent trance track come close to anything like this.
  21. Can't get a name or anything. The only results on google point to here or the Radio 1 tracklistings page.
  22. Scott's floorfillers came on from around 6.00pm, when Pete Tong's show was cut to 2 hours.
  23. Just in case you don't fancy downloading it. I did hear somewhere that Vortex was a hardstyle trance DJ from Italy. This tune is really untraceable though, probably the hardest tune to source I've ever come across.
  24. Anyone remember this? It used the theme from the film, Judge Jules was playing it around the winter of 2004. But I've looked everywhere for years and found nothing of it.
