  1. Do we already have this on here by any chance? http://www.mixcloud.com/ChunkysMixTapes/v98-judge-jules-live-golden-the-void-stoke-on-trent/
  2. Don't know if anyone else does this, I'm probably a massive wierdo or something (I'm already aware of this). But I've just woken up in the middle of the night with Robert Nickson's 'Spiral' in my head:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xtud6LypViw Brilliant tune, I have the vinyl somewhere too. But there was no reason for me to think of a track that I haven't heard in a good 4 or 5 years, I just awoke half asleep with it ringing in my ears. Another similar story was remembering Industry by The Green Martian a few years back in the same way, then buying the vinyl because of it.
  3. End of an era and all that, and everyone has their day. But there is no denying that the current dance lineup on Radio 1 is truly crap. Annie Mac is supposed to be the flagship show, and the tracklistings don't even look like dance music anymore. This era in 10 years time will be long forgotten
  4. That was the final release, the Novacane one I mentioned above. The clip below is the rare original version that gets played on this very essential mix, and Jules' previous Saturday night show:-
  5. I'll send you Studio 613 if you don't have it in any form. It goes under a few names online, 'Hi Boppers - Journey To The Moon' is another one.
  6. Join Me To The Moon by Studio 613 & Playa Sol by No-one Driving are actually pretty rare, you can't download them legally or illegally anywhere. I bought them on vinyl a couple of years back. The Playa Sol tune is actually a limited test pressing, as there was a version remixed by Novacane that came out in 2002 I think. The Novacane one had a woman on the vocal and sounded far weaker than the version on here. Sadly Playa Sol was broken clean in half when it came through the post (thanks Royal Mail), I got some double sided tape and strapped it to an old white label of some crap garage tune that came out of a collection. It plays all the way through, but I took some weight off the needle and captured in wav format so I could play it on my CDJ's.
  7. I think the same wav's work with all traktor versions. I have two types. I have the original 30 min wavs, or I have an 80 min version that I've multiplied to fill up a disc.
  8. Worth a look into then! I find it amazing that, if that was the case. No labels were interested in this. I haven't heard a recent trance track come close to anything like this.
  9. Can't get a name or anything. The only results on google point to here or the Radio 1 tracklistings page.
  10. Scott's floorfillers came on from around 6.00pm, when Pete Tong's show was cut to 2 hours.
  11. Just in case you don't fancy downloading it. I did hear somewhere that Vortex was a hardstyle trance DJ from Italy. This tune is really untraceable though, probably the hardest tune to source I've ever come across.
  12. Anyone remember this? It used the theme from the film, Judge Jules was playing it around the winter of 2004. But I've looked everywhere for years and found nothing of it.
  13. It will now you've made one post.
  14. I remember listening to the latter days of his Saturday night show around 2007, and he randomly dropped F.R.A.N.K T.R.A.X. Nebuchan amongst a load of new tracks in the last half an hour of his show. He did this as well with Gladiator 'Now We Are Free' a couple of years back too. He may have been short on decent recent stuff at the time, something he should of done more often I thought though.

    Speed Garage

I like a lot of the 2 step stuff, that was around when I was well into dance music. I did collect some Artful Dodger stuff on vinyl, also have 'Love Shy' too that's in that mix. Like I said above though, Jules never seemed to bother with the 99-2000 stuff, just the 97 stuff it seems. I did a mix 12 months ago of what I regard as 'speed garage'. Couldn't fit them all into 80 mins, but there are a few in there:- http://www.mixcloud.com/lyndonedwards/90s-speed-garage-classics-mixed-by-lyndon-edwards/
  16. I thought his mixing was a bit off key compared to his Saturday show that was broadcast a few hours before! Saying that I can't argue with his track selection mind, Airwave & Fire and Ice are just so special. As for this being an hour, I'm sure he shared the essential mix that Sunday morning with Paul Van Dyk who did the first hour and Jules the second. This file has just been edited to include Jules, but I've heard PVD's hour on soundcloud. I was only 12 at the time this went out so wasn't old enough to be there. But it looked a good setup, is it still going in some form?

    Speed Garage

Can anyone elaborate on this anymore? Some of Judge Jules' first Radio 1 shows have a fair amount of speed garage on them. But from what I can tell, it seems to fizzle out around the middle of 1998. Well as far as Jules is concerned, so I assume it sort of died out from the mainstream until '2-step' garage came to the fore in late 1999. And Jules never bothered with that strain of things, guess it was too 'Urban'. I remember tracks like 'R.I.P Groove' & 'Gunman' that got into the mainstream, but it seemed to come and go within the space of less than 2 years. I never got to properly understand dance music until around 1999 so it's not really part of my memory.
  18. Yeah I noticed that it was a tad slow, only very slightly though. I haven't really given this a proper listen yet, is it a situation where someone has taped their favorite tracks? Or do they actually let it run through?
  19. Lots of classics in this show, were tracks thin on the ground a few years back?
  20. Worth adding to the archive then, I wonder if there's any more on that site? Good thing is it seems the majority of that Friday Night show survives right till the end.
  21. Not sure if anyone already has this, don't think it's on here either as I've had a quick look. But I downloaded this from a torrent site a few weeks ago here:- http://www.tribalmixes.com/torrent/79146-Judge-Jules-22-23rd-November-1997 It took me a while to download and I had to register there so I've re-uploaded to Zippyshare. I would of posted it in the audio section, but I think the tape is a bit chopped up and I'm not sure what section is from what date. I'd rather leave it to the mods and researchers on here to decide what to do with it. The date seems genuine anyway as he's playing a few tracks on there that he played on his set from Sound City 97, notably Trevor Reilly's 'Down With The Underground'. Not sure if the exact dates in November 1997 are correct though. Anyway, download it (as it was from the torrent) here:- http://www20.zippyshare.com/v/88940648/file.html
  22. I wouldn't be suprised if they are both here, you can download as of now because you've already posted. Happy hunting.
  23. http://www.discogs.com/Spacedust-Music-Feels-Good-With-You/release/61989 I think it's just a built up version of the original, I can't really hear the Bucketheads in there. On the other side of my vinyl is the Stuntmasterz bootleg with Madonna's Holiday, it sounds like they used the Spacedust version as the foreground for their mashup. Anyway, this needs to be sorted on the tracklistings.
  24. Does anyone know what remix of Stardust this is? It certainaly isn't the original. Never mind, it's actually this version. I found it on a white label i just re-discovered in the cupboard!
  25. Ah yes, Playa Sol. That version is the remade one 'No-one Driving vs Novacane' or something like that, i think that version lacked compared to the original. Luckily I have both Studio 613 & the Original version of Playa Sol (as played on this show) on vinyl. The MP3's are nowhere to be found, legal or illegal amazingly.
