  1. Cheers Quadders - I shall invest said coins with glee
  2. I haven't really listened to a Jules set since I played my favourite ever one (Worcester Uni 2001 on the Uni tour) on the train ride home from Edinburgh in August. I seem to go through phases and right now nostalgia isn't "in" - though more classic audio is always appreciated!

  4. Welcome - just the one post to get the audio I take it?
  5. Seeing as I'll almost certainly be living there soon - nothing! It was purely tongue in cheek
  6. Used to love the Moogwai remixes Jules played - really nice, warm sound to them.

  9. All the best for your Dad's recovery Chrissie. If you still enjoy Jules then, genuinely, I am delighted. Your dedication in travelling so far to see him is highly commendable
  10. Have heard great things about the documentary from folk on the Hardwick board but alas I have yet to see it myself. I do love stuff like this from time to time - puts things into perspective nicely
  11. He's in at #132 this year Hopefully it'll be a wake up call and he'll realise that the current brand of music he is pushing just isn't working - it may yet save him! However I fear it is equally likely to push him further down the commercial route in the dilluded belief that commercial pap is what punters want and that it may elevate him once again - I sincerely hope not! I think what this does show however is that it is a terminal decline and Jules is coming toward the end of a, mostly, glittering career
  12. Tom Bailey presents... 13. Burien or Chrissy usually post them up mate - if you're still interested?
  14. From what Sy said on the Hardwick board even Jules couldn't masquerade the reactions he got as anything like people being "up for it" unless he refers to them being "up for" lynching him! V-signs and booing is such a travesty and an undignified thing to have happen to someone we all once repescted so much. I would never tell him to retire but I agree that he definitely needs to go the commercial route and play the mainstream clubs if he wishes to perpetuate the current level of nonsense he seems to have invested in!
  15. Sasha's remix is definitely my favourite - still such a stunning piece of music
  16. That's easily the biggest monitor screen I have ever seen Nice share though Tim - at that time Ferry's sound was totally transforming trance music
  17. The game finished as it was always going to finish didn't it. Easy win against a very limited, but game, side. Some of the stats for SM are highly amusing mind

    JJ's twitter

The amount of artists using this hashtag really is pitiful. Plainly an attempt to get clueless Americans following them
  19. In Jules' defence Crasher did say in the promo that the night would feature classics from the Red & Black era interspersed with some new stuff - although it does seem that Jules was the only DJ playing any modern material. We all know that Jules has never wanted to go down the classics set route (unless it really is extenuating circumstances) probably as he doesn't want to become what some of the others on the bill have become - i.e. a DJ who everyone remembers fondly and only wishes to book for classics nights. That said it must have been so hugely dissapointing to have him on the bill and then to witness the set that Gregg describes - I would have been equally gutted mate! If Jules doesn't want to play a Crasher classics night then he should tear clear altogether, instead of insisting on modern tracks which, and I will be objective here, do not mix very well at all with the old classics regardless of their quality.
