  1. No, no, no, no, no NO! That's like drinking Morgans and Lemonade! If needs must and you don't have correct mixer just add ice instead! Even if it means scraping it from the wall of your freezer! Argh, sacrilege!
  2. I remember this argument back in 2003, trance apparently pulled its socks up, but for me it was too late and I'd already moved on to different, and in the end better (imo) things. Maybe you hit the nail on the head Briggsy and you actually are just bored of it after so many years? I can't even listen to it now, it really doesn't interest me, but the old stuff I like as much as the 1st day I hear it. On a side note, I've only ever seen people talk about specific BPM's on trance boards lol.
  3. Oh aye lol, there was me thinking I'd actually put a mix in last year  Spent that much time thinking about it and not enough time actually setting my decks back up lol. Must try harder this year, blank canvas and that, definitely not going to just do your average mix cd though, it'll definitely have a slant of some sort of which I am unsure as of yet. Might do a "Random tunes JM liked between 1988 and 2000 but then forgot about that would sound good in a Xmas mix after some research" type mix. Or something, who knows. Think it would be cool if everyone's had a bit of a slant though, as oppose to just stuff you normally play?
  4. I can't believe it's that time again already!
  5. I got a proper hearing test in work when I first started, and was most surprised when I was told that after 10 years of djing and licking speakers, my hearing is near on perfect! She actually said my hearing was better than an average 12 year old's!
  6. Haha, I love the term 'Urban', in that its so non specific, and is just basically a more PC way of saying music black people are probably going to prefer. Same as the Mobo's lol
  7. Not sure why that is, haven't checked this board all week, had a look last week on my phone, so maybe cos that page was just left open? Anyhoo, I'm not dead lol.
  8. Only time I ever listened to Radio 1 was in my old work, and I'd take Annie Mac over Jules any day. I love Annie Mac, to be honest I can take her show more seriously than Jules' these days, and the best thing about it is its not meant to be serious, it does what it says on the tin, gets you ready for a night out. Some of the old minimixes were amazing, do they still get done?
  9. Haha, sorry?!! Surely not a Scottish people are tight comment?
  10. Sweet!!! I didn't think that tune actually existed in the real world! I'm an absolute sucker for rare tunes, got quite a few bargains from ebay/discogs before, but couldn't help myself when I seen those Sheet One picture discs.
  11. I blew my biggest buy out the water on Friday night at an afterparty, bought this for a whopping £70, spur of the moment type thing. http://www.discogs.com/release/346183 Thing is, its absolutely spotless, and even still has the fake acid blotter paper. Highest price before that was £27 for this peach, which is probably worth a lot more than £27 now! http://www.discogs.com/Global-Communication-The-Way-The-Deep/release/60087
  12. Wish Id known that about 2 years ago
  13. Last post I'll make on this as it's way off topic partly by myself, but number 2 fan's comment made me grin, nod, and agree. I was sticking up for her and the fact that there's a difference between arguments and giving opinion, something the old jj board was brilliant at in it's hayday.
  14. Sigh indeed, missed my point completely.
  15. Besides that and back on topic I like it when the Open is on the tv after playing golf 1st thing!
  16. I like it when people see things not as negatism when people make a tongue in cheek remark about what everyone thinks when stuck on a busy street behind a slow walker. I wouldn't be making this post and Muira wouldn't have been made to look like the wicked witch of the jj board if people lightened up.
  17. Nice one, I'll get a team sorted when I'm in the house.
  18. Diluted describes the music, spoiled for choice and too lazy too look for it describes a lot of dj's that moan these days.
  19. Sorry mate, I wasn't saying you were being lazy or anything, just so happened I had the windows calculator up when I noticed there was 10 pages in that thread lol. If you were to fire the mixes over to me it would probably take me a year to mix it. Sorry if it came across a bit cheeky.
  20. 3 months and 15 days so far......................... Thats 2520 hours available so far to get this done, I only work 1924 minus holidays a YEAR, get it sorted Briggsy!
  21. You see this argument all the time, but in my opinion music hasn't got worse, its got better, just that there's more of it, and as a consequence more diluted. Its a decade later, rock music was better in the 60's and 70's, but as an obvious rule, things move on! If you didn't miss an era, enjoy what you experienced! If you missed the boat then by all means listen back and enjoy that, but don't whatever you do get stuck in the past! There's so much going on today that is so much better than 10 years ago, you just have to look hard enough and accept that its 2009. I'm more interested in what 2019 will bring than 1999 ever did!
  22. Mate of a mate uses Torq and swears by it, could be a lower cost alternative for you? http://www.decks.co.uk/products/maudio/tor...nectiv_vinyl_cd
  23. Josh Wink's a headliner if you're not on a trance website! As it happens he played a 3 hour set at the above club last Friday!
  24. I get my ideal lineup every Saturday night at the Sub Club in Glasgow, Harri and Domenic plus a quality guest. Guaranteed £8 well spent without fail. Fabric sound system in a space the size of your toilet, except your toilet probably doesn't have a bodysonic dance floor!
