  2. http://soundcloud.com/nathantremeer/not-the-usual-classics-mix Hi guys, I know we've been inundated with classics mixes but what the hell... I did another one last weekend and thought I would share it as there are definitely some different choices in here and hopefully some tunes you will have completely forgotten about. It's a CD length mix so not as long as the others Ive done recently either. I hope some of you will like it. Tracklist: 01. Souvernance - 'Havin' A Good Time' (Motivation Remix) [Positiva] 02. 3. looks wicked mate. There's a couple there which feature in my new one as well just about to post. Well jealous ur off to Ibiza. I have a week off from the 10th and I've been thinking about getting a last minute deal but none of my mates can go so doesn't look like its gonna happen now. Ah well have fun and cheers for the tunage.
  4. Cool mate. I started buying in 2000 but didn't really know where to get the rare promos and imports so a fair amount of tunes back then I really wanted but couldn't get hold of and now they are all available on Discogs pretty much.. it's awesome. I got John Jornick - 'Wecko' the other day - you might recognise it if you ever heard the live show from Karanga @ Creation in Bristol. Been looking for that tune for years!
  5. Tim I think you have very similar tastes to me. I have recently bought quite a few of the same tracks you are buying. That for me was the best era for tunes.. all about 2000. Club robbers - search for the ball can be got as MP3 tho so I decided to go that route with that track. Got Rompa Stompa and rejected EP earlier this year though.
  6. Cool thanks for checking it out guys
  7. Mate that sucks. I'd be well pissed off too if it happened to me. I'm afraid I don't know of anything you can do with a record which is actually broken into pieces. I hope you manage to find another copy. Looking at the rest of your post - I've wanted to know the remix of Olive Jules was playing in 2000 for years! Need to update that ID into the board tracklist archive because on those tracklists it still says Unknown remix White Label. I also recently purchased Eufex - Junkie Monkey..... what a tune... I love how Jules used to delve into hard house and slow it down a bit, or house and speed it up a bit... anything he could make fit into a set he would and it didn't have to be a particular genre.

    Off on Holiday

have a great time mate... I really wanna go on holiday but nothing planned at the moment.
  9. http://soundcloud.com/nathantremeer/june-2010-mix Hi guys, I've finally got around to mixing some new material. Actually I did this mix a week ago but didn't manage to upload it before going to Berlin for a week with work. Anyway I'm back so now I can share the audio goodness. June 2010 Mix 01. Artento Divini - 'Griffin' [High Contrast] 02. Tritonal & Soto - 'Forgive Me Forget You' [Flashover] 03. Christian Hann - 'Electroshock' [CD-R] 04. Rex Mundi - 'Opera of Northern Ocean' (Phynn Remix) [Coldharbour] 05. Armin vs. MIKE - 'Intruder' (MIKE's 2010 Injection Mix) [Club Elite] 06. Jordan Suckley - 'Chariot of the Gods' [Liquid] 07. Indecent Noise & Steve Allen - Momentum [Yakuza] 08. Gold & Osbourne - 'The Hunt Is On' [Captivating Sounds] 09. Claudia Cazacu - 'Quattrain 3' [Reset] 10. Jordan Suckley ft. Aminda - 'Patience' [Liquid] 11. Right Face - 'Morning Dew' [Enhanced] 12. Will Rees - 'Drop Acid' [Discover Dark] 13. Scott Attrill - 'Adapter' [Traffic]
  10. I think I know what you're getting at Jason. There are some tracks which are often featured on all the classics CDs that come out which some of us have used in recent mixes. When I do a "classics" mix I am not usually thinking about compiling a list of the biggest and most commercial tracks that have come out of the trance scene over the last decade which IS what the numerous compilations coming out ARE doing. What I tend to do is pick a fairly narrow time window such as Autum of 2000 and because I keep all my records filed A-Z but split into year or even season of the year it's easy for me to recreate a typical set that would actually have been played during that time. This means some of the selections will be tunes that later went on to become huge and perhaps annoying and commercial but I will pick them to play amongst other much more underground and forgotten tracks that were out at the same time. So my "classics" sets usually end up being a mixture of well known and perhaps seemingly unimaginative selections thrown in with other tracks I am sure you wont ever find on a gatecrasher or cream or ministry album... tunes that Jules played once and never again kind of idea. I feel that this set from Christian has a similar feel to the tracklisting and I like it because I tend to think along the same lines when creating mine. I have just put one together and deliberately made it all fairly un-obvious choices to try and be a bit different. I personally always get up for mixing my old vinyls in the summer so that's part of the reason I've done a few recently. Anyway I am going to burn this mix to CD and whack it on in the car... looks like a great mix for driving around to.
  11. Great stuff Christian. Some beauties in there. I particularly love York - Farewell to the moon and Nevada - Touched By The Hand.... I will download this now.
  12. listening now mate and thoroughly enjoying this. I reckon this is your best so far. Some fantastic tunes in there. Loving Razorburn as well mate. Top marks from me!
  13. Thanks Quadders - I have to say that track you mention I really do like. I even bought a copy on vinyl after receiving an MP3 from Aza because I liked it so much I wanted it in the collection. You need wait no longer for part 2... it's now up and I hope you will enjoy it even more than the first one.
  14. yes mate.. I also listen to most of your mixes via soundcloud directly as they appear in my drop box. Will defo check this out soon but I've hardly been at home in the last week or 2 so not had chance so far. Keep 'em coming mate.
  15. looks a very nice tracklist there mate
  16. Thanks for the feedback Aza. I did find it a bit of a strange challange to mix a selection of tunes where a fair amount of them although I'd heard of them have never owned them and been really familiar with them. It was definitely worth the hard work in my opinion. I will enjoy listening to this as well plus I love to hear tunes from years past which I may have missed at the time because there was so much good stuff out then. If the tune Jason was referring to was 'Playa Sol' I have that on vinyl and mixed it in off the vinyl. Looking forward to doing the second part now which I have pretty much got the tracklist nailed for and I think it contains some of the more obscure selections of the 2 sets. Certainly not obvious tracks that always get put in classics sets so I hope it will be a good one.
  17. Ah which tune Jason? I had about half of these already and the rest Aza supplied.
  18. Just checked MOS website... it's just Markus Shulz all night in the Box. then its Alex Kenji and Timo Garcia in the 2nd room... that's it.
  19. if Markus Shulz is on for 7 hours... I can't imagine there being more than maybe 1 resident to do the warm up. I spose there will be other rooms tho.
  20. I hardly ever bother these days... this one doesn't fill me with inspiration... will give it a miss this week
  21. ha! - Revolution Revolution! will never stop doing classics mixes... that's the whole point of keeping my record collection

  22. Hi guys. This project has been a few weeks in the making now and hopefully you will all enjoy it. A few weeks ago after posting my 'For The Archives' mix I got chatting to Aza about a couple of mixes spanning a much wider time frame of "Gone But Not Forgotten" tunes that Jules has played over the years. Aza got to thinking very quickly about this and sent me through a whole bunch of suggestions and even supplied me with many of the tunes as there were a number I didn't have. Aza has played a huge part in compiling these mixes and helping to form the set structure and then I have had a go at putting the whole thing together as a mix. I've been working hard at part one of this the last few days and here is the result. There will be a 2nd part coming soon. Hopefully there will be some little gems in these sets that are not always the obvious selections for a classics set and there are also a few biggies in there which we just both love. I have very much enjoyed putting this together and thanks again to Aza for his huge input. GBNF Part One 01. Soho - 'Flyin' Madness' (Flyin' Padmix) [b²] 02. 24. Hi Chewbains. welcome to the board. From reading Fuzzy's reply above it looks like one post is all it takes to be able to download. We just all love to have a good chat about the music on here so we can all get more out of the audio on offer. I guess the 1 post thing is just to encourage people to join up and get involved with the discussions. Otherwise there could be loads of people coming accross the site and downloading stuff but we would never know it. It's great to hear how the music has had an impact on those who find it here and we all just love to chat about the good old days of trance so hopefully you'll fit right in here. No need to be shy this is a very friendly message board and it's the only one I ever post on for that reason. I really hope you enjoy all the site has to offer and I'm sure you'll discover lots of those missing tune ID's on here as many of us have over the years.
