  2. What do you think of Eddies tune? Surprisingly trancy and slower for me, expected a more tough sound. Although I've only heard Neon, I believe there are two more tracks on the ep.
  3. This is brilliant. Sied van Riels take on the poll. *Has embedding you-tube videos gone with the new look? Can't see it.
  4. Coldplay, Ga Ga. Loads of the same tunes again it appears. Has he just given up altogether, or is he on the lash all week in Ibiza and not paying any attention to the music? Piss poor that looks, effort wise anyway. Haven't heard too many of the tunes so can't comment too much on that.
  5. Yeah you're spot on about the mix sequence. Love that cd, still dig it out regularly. Mixed Ayla in perfectly after that on the cd. Just flowed so well. Is it Red Light or Ayla that has the irregular beat, ie not 4/4, it's 5/4 or something like that? I know one of them is very tricky to mix, but Jules nails it perfectly on that cd. Sigh.........................
  6. That's an interesting thought. Did Jules' decline (as we see it) happen with the ushering out of vinyl? Co-incidence, or was he deluged with tunes and unable to separate the wheat from the chaff due to the over-saturation the mp3 era brought? Never really thought about that, but I suppose the timelines are similar, even if it is just co-incidence.
  7. Of course I was mate, one of my favourite all-time tunes that! Have a read at some of the comments on the youtube page for a bigger laugh. Despite the fact that the mongs are on the internet while typing, and a simple google search will prove who wrote the tune, some still steadfastly believe it was Tiesto who wrote it, and will argue about it. Mentalists!
  8. To be fair folks, we don't give him enough credit. Look at this beauty he wrote: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6afGJ1iUfk
  9. Enjoyed that Tom, well done mate! Must get the name of that second last tune you played when you put the tracklisting up. Awesome.
  10. Noticed that. I thought this would be peak time for tune saturation with Ibiza season upon us. I caught a bit of his show about a month back and he was saying that all bar four or five tunes on the show were new.
  11. You know what I find highly ironic (or maybe sad on reflection), is that a man who's an been a radio dj for fifteen odd years, has been weekly on the main national radio station for over a decade, and is therefore one of the most listened to, and recognisable voices in dance, feels the need to gee up a crowd with a pre-made cd he got some dude to shout slogans into. Surely picking up the mic and saying a few words word have more of an effect than that shite, especially when you've forged a career with your voice a major part of it?
  12. No worries man, wasn't your fault. Will give it a listen soon.
  13. Just as an aside on this, I remember there being loads of debate on here about Jules' persual of getting up the charts in the dj poll. Well I read an interview he linked to his twitter, think it was for some people in Canada, but he openly admitting going on a massive campaign blitz, spamming everything in the hope of getting up the poll, and said he was absolutely delighted with the results. Expect much more of the same this year I guess. I dunno, just think it rings a bit hollow when you need a media campaign to get up a dj poll that people already question the credibility of.
  14. Ah right, thanks. I was wondering. Says Bobby deep after that, I assume that's definitely not him. Tunes are still very good now mind you.
  15. Listening now. It says Scumfrog is on. Is this Tom? I think I remember a Scumfrog being on Hooj Choons many years ago.
  16. Cheers Tom, will try and get listening to this. Always forget about it, with it being a Monday night.
  17. Dare I even ask what this is like?? 09. Coldplay - 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' (We Don’t Belong In Pacha Mix) Edit, I see 'Leon Bolier & Marcus Schössow - 'Ost Kaas', is in the last mix twice. Is it a typo, or were different mixes of it played?
  18. Very interesting. It's mad when I read parts about running the label, the similarities between the tunes and football transfers stand out for me. Heading over to Holland to make sure and secure a deal on 'The Shrink' I think it was, making sure you got a certain tune as part of an agreement. They probably sat and watched tunes that they could have signed go on and do massive things when they didn't take the punt. I never knew Jules had such a big part to play with Manifesto either.

    Julesisms

Ha ha! Was this always a sticky? Can't remember seeing it. Does he still use them anymore? I tend to just catch bits of his show on and off, don't think I've heard him use one. Great part of the quirkiness and uniqueness we all came to love.
  20. Seriously dude, give it a rest now. I know you want to be seen as some sort of maverick, but you're just getting really boring for me now. I don't really care how great you are, or how you're a living God, and even if I did, I don't want to hear about it every day in loads of different threads. You got your own thread to revel in your own glory, yet you've spammed four more again today, giving abuse to people in a few of them. I can't speak for everyone on this board, but I'm a bit sick of it. At the start you talked about music which was fine. Now it's either flirting, bullshit off topic rambling or bitching, neither of which I've ever known to have a place on this board. Please chill out, or keep your inane witterings to yourself (or at least stick it on your own thread).
  21. Armin Van Buuren's new album? Instead of having A State Of Trance tour, due to the recession he's doing a pirate radio show from his mums garden shed; The State Of Petrol Prices?
  22. Jeez. So young too. Awful stuff. Rip.
