  1. That's brilliant mate, kudos. It's a massive feather in the cap for you. I'm in Ireland though, and the kiss link isn't available here. I'd love to hear this, is there any other way I can?
  2. Is it worth getting Aza? Is it just a reflection of a recent A&A set? Not too sure I'd be so keen if it is. The compilation market's gone to hell recently. I used to live for some of them years ago. The Gatecrasher series, Jules' Clubbers guide, the early Euphoria's, some of the Global Underground stuff. I suppose the advances of the internet and everyone's live sets being available everywhere mere hours after they're finished, meant the compilation market's not as lucrative anymore. I liked that JOOF triple cd recently though. Saw that recommended on here and got that.
  3. Jesus mate, will you relax. Bottom line is, the people who run this site can do whatever they please. Whether we like it or not. I've never seen anyone have any trouble on this site whatsoever. I think you're getting very confused about things and getting wound up over nothing. As someone else said, if you're not happy about something, contact the admins or p.m. No need for all the threads. Please realise that there is no agenda, and we're all very happy with the way this site is run. Hopefully you'll enjoy the site as much as the rest of us then.
  4. No. I suppose until I do, I shouldn't really make a comment to be fair. Are they good? I'm only going by radio, and live sets (albiet haven't heard him live 1st hand in two years). He's always said the later time slot allows him to play pretty much his club set on radio. Saw a you tube clip of a very recent set. He played horrendous 'Put your hands in the air' samples over a remix of a pop song. This was the Arches I think too, a proper club. I don't want to remember him for this current style. That being said, if it's no big deal for the mods, I've no problem at all.Maybe in five or so years people will be looking for these sets the way we used to. Although with the internet, all this stuff should be pretty widely available, unlike the mountains of cassettes we all used to own that have long since bitten the dust!
  5. My two cents...... I agree with neuro's sentiment. I think this site should be a showcase for the best of Jules. That for me sadly, does not include his recent stuff. In fact it pains me hearing him play those embarrassing jingles and bootlegs now, when I know how good he used to be. Also, if it takes a lot of the mods time and energy setting up the podcasts that meant some classic sets from years ago being put on the backburner or neglected, then I'd be against it. Sorry No2 fan. That's just me though.
  6. Hello? Is it me you're looking for?

  7. It's the wee 8gb one. Now it's just got the stuff from my library which isn't a lot.He told me not to worry about what was originally on it as he didn't want it. It wasn't full no, very little on it. Thats all gone. I've given up now. I'll just have to download a few things and put them on my library and let it synch. It's about all I can do.
  8. Yeah I've done that No2Fan. The problem is, it wont let me even browse through his Ipod. Everytime I plug it in, it synchs automatically, then tells me its finished and to take it out. I can't do jack with it. I've found a program that lets you transfer stuff ipod to ipod, but because the other ipods not taking to my computer right, it doesn't show up on that program. It'll bloody show up in the bin very soon.
  9. Thanks Fuzzy. It's pretty much as I thought. Hopeless. Problem is, it wont even let me access his ipod to delete the stuff on it, it just synchs automatically. I knew Apple were very tight on copyright stuff, thought I'd chance my arm and see if there was any hope. This whole saga has opened my eyes as to how Apple/Ipods work though. I've had mine now for three years, gathering up a collection thats been slowly building up to close to everything I've wanted. Thanks it must be said, in large parts to this site. Only now is it dawning on me that when my ipod starts acting up, unless I've everything stored on my computer, it's lost. Even if I knew that, it's the second computer I've used my ipod on, the other one's long gone, so I'd still lose half my stuff.
  10. Please can any of you sexy, sexy people of JJA help me. My friend gave me his ipod to put music onto for him, preferably stuff off my own ipod. It seems he has already set up his ipod on a different computer, and as such, my itunes wont play ball with his at all. It recognises his ipod, synchs it, then tells me to eject it. I can't do any editing on it at all. Is there any way round this, besides downloading a heap of stuff and putting it on itunes and let it synch? I found a program that lets me swap from ipod to ipod, but it wont work as my friend's one doesn't get recognised. I'm also a bit of a fool when it comes to this stuff, and am fully aware that it may be as simple as shaking my fist angrily at the screen, although this hasn't worked so far. Thanks in advance.
  11. No. But this has been known to vary on occasions.
  12. To be fair, Tiesto probably spent a lot of time making that..........................................
  13. milkybarkid

    Tiesto!

That is effin' class. Love the way they've matched up his hand motions with the mixing mess ups. What the hell's with everyone wearing white, even him? Looks like a a dj playing at a festival for some massive cult.
  14. To my shame, an Elvis picture disc (a gift, swear!), with rare interviews and unreleased songs on it. Worth a packet apparently.
  15. I've done a bit of digging, and I'm pretty sure it's the Radio1 One Big Weekend in Sunderland you're talking about 08/05/05. It had the Shapeshifters playing. The audio isn't on here (although if it was, it would probably only be Jules' set, I suspect you would like the whole day!), but Jules' tracklisting is here. The Radio 1 page for the event is here. Hope this helps a wee bit.
  16. Forgive me, I'm a complete novice to all this side of things, but is that site dodgy or what? I thought it was legit enough, minimum sign up of $20 etc. I was seriously considering signing up, it's got loads of classics that I can't find elsewhere. Thats a shame if it is.
  17. I've found that Quake dub mix I think, although I don't know if it's just the vinyl you want. I've had a look through that site, and there's some real hard to find gems on it. Anyone ever use it? http://ligamusic.com/Album/2299219/VA/Pioneer_Cd_Pool_Club_Beats_Series_2_Vol_06/download-mp3/
  18. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/8546696.stm BBC Trust open to 6 Music 'rethink' Sir Michael Lyons The BBC Trust is the governing body of the BBC "Public concern" might mean the BBC will have to "rethink" plans to axe two radio stations, BBC Trust chairman Sir Michael Lyons has said. There has been growing opposition to the announcement by director general Mark Thompson on Tuesday, earmarking 6 Music and Asian Network for closure. The proposals will go through a public consultation before being approved. Mr Thompson is expected to meet with union leaders later, who say 600 people could lose their jobs. Broadcasting union Bectu and the National Union of Journalists have already warned there could be staff strikes to fight any compulsory redundancies. 'Public concern' Closing BBC 6 Music is bad news for unsigned acts and new British music. Lily Allen, Guardian More reactions from the papers Send us your comments The proposed cuts have been criticised by music industry figures including music producer Mark Ronson and pop star La Roux. More than 100,000 people have already joined a group set up on social networking site Facebook to save 6 Music. Writing in the Guardian, Brit-winner Lily Allen said she hoped "that the backlash they've received so far will make them think twice". The strategy review has also proposed that half of the BBC websites would close by 2013, along with teen services Switch and Blast. But, Sir Michael has told the BBC's Today programme that nothing has been decided for definite yet. "If we find that there's massive public concern that we need to take account of, then we will go back to the director general to rethink the strategy before it's approved." FROM THE TODAY PROGRAMME More from Today programme Sir Michael said the report "heads towards a more disciplined and sharply-focused BBC" which means "some difficult choices" will need to be made. "But we will not shrink from those choices where they are in the interests of licence fee-payers," he added. "There will always be people who are disappointed when you take something away from them - that's the history of the BBC and the history of public services. "One strong message that the trust is putting out is that the BBC simply cannot continue to grow forever. The impact that then places on both the licence fee and on competitors has to be more measured." The review has also pledged that more money would be ploughed into international news and the BBC must put a higher proportion of the licence fee into quality programmes to make "fewer things better".
  19. Ha ha, I originally had Paradise in, but took it out. Now I wanna put Orange theme in, as I had forgotton all about that. Head melting stuff.
  20. Awww man. This changes every week for me. I'll give it a go; Moogwai Viola X-Cabs Neuro 99 Humate Love Stimulate Age Of Love, The Age Of Love Hybrid Finshed Symphony. I'll probably have about ten edits on this the more I think on it.
  21. Hmmmm. Jules did play the Temple Theatre many times late 90's early 00's, but none of it was ever broadcast as far as I know. Have a look at this though (took me ages to find), off Jules' old tv show on Rapture Tv I think. He plays the (now long shut) Temple Theatre. http://www.4shared.com/file/189609726/f0a89790/Judge_Jules_Temple_Theatre.html Maybe he means this one though; http://www.judgejulesarchive.co.uk/archives/board/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=386
  22. His initials, and the number of posts he intends contributing by the looks of it!
  23. Apologies if this has been done, or if it's the wrong forum (mods feel free to move if so). Right, this is the thread where you can air your dirty dance music related laundry without reprisal. Anything you feel guilty about, or opinions that go against the grain. Remember, this isn't to cause rows, or offend, just a sanctuary for your guilt. I'll start. I owned, and played out in a nightclub, Dj Jurgen, and a Venga Boys remix many moons ago. Jules was also playing them. No excuse though. I think Rui Da Silva 'Touch Me' is one of the finest pieces of dance music ever written. Sasha and Digweed's 'legendary' sets produced some of the most boring, overrated crap known to man. Jules has never produced one properly 'great' tune, either solo, or with Hi-Gate. Again, none of these are to cause friction, just my opinion.
  24. Cheers Fuzzy. Those tunes are the reason I found this site. Sankeys was a massive favourite of ours, and I was always dying to know for years what some of those tracks were, (especially those two), searched for a tracklisting, and found this place. I needed to lie down for an hour however, when I saw the vastness of sets on here! Incidently, I'm (hopefully) going to start dj'ing again, and I'm trying to build up a digital collection, but I find the tracks like I mentioned above impossible to find. Are there any sort of specialist classic trance (that era) download sites?
