  1. I was just having a nosey round, and saw no-one had commented on this. Gonna grab it, and report back later when I stick it on the ipod. Love finding old audio like this. Thanks for the upload. By the way, I had to laugh, the stick we're giving Jules about playing B.E.P. etc, isn't; E-17 - 'Betcha Can't Wait' (Sharp Boys Club Mix) [Telstar], East 17? Although to be fair, the Sharp Boys had a bit of a name for doing tough remixes of pop songs as far as I remember (think they remixed Britney even) *edit; yep: http://www.discogs.com/Britney-Spears-Baby-One-More-Time/release/420965
  2. Great find, thank you. I wonder is this by Jules himself or Radio1? If it's R1,I think I hear the sound of an axe being sharpened, way off in the distance. I spent nearly half an hour filling that in. Spleen well and truly vented.
  3. I'll toss my hat into this if possible. Recently bought decks again after nearly ten years.
  4. Jules will always be a legend in my eyes. This site is a testament to that. And thank God we'll always (hopefully) have this site to remind us of why we revere him so much. I've always sort of gave Jules the benifit of the doubt recently, thinking in the back of my mind, maybe it is Radio1 forcing him to play stuff, that frankly, is a pile of shite. But then my friends, have a glance at this video. My heart sank. But it's as No2fan has said all along; he obviously really likes these abominations he plays. It's so clear in this video. Does he not hear what we all hear? Anyway, I don't like Jules bashing, but I just had to share this. The enthusiasm Jules shows for, frankly in my opinion, absolute muck, makes me wonder, and my faith disappear. Where did it all go wrong?
  5. Seen a new poster on the last day defending Jules' current sets, saying how much he loved his innovative bootlegs. Dristan T his name was.........
  6. Ha ha,to be honest, it wouldn't surprise me! High Gate hardly took many hours of careful consideration now did it?
  7. Any idea what his user name was? When you think of all the obscure tracks from his sets from years ago we STILL are trying to id, and he can just walk down to his vaults and dust them off, and stick them on a 1210! Must be heaven. Must be a flattering to know also, that there are still people dedicated to keeping his legacy from his golden era alive. If only he'd pay more heed to our current opinions.
  8. Did he used to look at these boards? Wouldn't it be brilliant to think that Jules sits there the odd night going 'Jesus Nottingham back in the day was such an amazing night. Might head on JJA and go back to reminisce.' Can't see it myself, but surely he must pang for the epicness the way we do, about that timeless era, especially when he was the main reason for it?
  9. Done. My teams Woy's Wovers. I just realised that you can change any players you like for free until the first game. Spiffing.
  10. Good set this, gonna grab it. Bit puzzled about Jules playing (the brilliant) Space Frog though. Pretty sure that came out around 97/98 or so. I remember it being caned on an old radio show here in Ireland round that time. Did it get a re-release in 02?
  11. I'll be up for this. Do you have to select your team right away? I'd like to leave it till near the end of the transfer window, see who's gonna be where.
  12. Yes! It's done that blue screen thing a couple of times, firefox freezing on me etc. I thought it must be windows coz i did a load of virus scans and didn't find anything. Thank you!
  13. Sorry to take this ot, but what problems had you with vista? I'm a total fool when it comes techie stuff, but I've got this laptop for about a year (new), and it has Vista on it. I've noticed it acting up a few times now and wondered if it's vista.
  14. I've seen this in a few different places now. It's infamous at this stage. It's got over 2000 views on you tube and no-one knows still, and just one reply.
  15. I wonder is Jules playing those more commercial mash-ups to show R1 that if they canned the show, he could still play to a more commercial audience? Just a thought like. Surely he must get a bit of negative feedback about them? I can't see why he persists.
  16. Quite like that Tiesto mix myself. Very heavy bassline. Old school stylee.
  17. Aye, I think maybe because he doesn't produce, he feels more of an emphasise to put his own 'stamp' on tunes. It's a pity, I think he's taken away from his sets. He has to be one of the most technically gifted dj's ever though.
  18. Ha, shows what I know. Last cd of his I got was some triple one with him, Jules and someone else who escapes me, from about four years ago. Eddies stood out by a country mile. Really enjoyed it. Will definately check this out. Ah my broadband connections pure muck, any sort of streamings a waste of time, so don't listen to much online. Hoping to get a new proper setup now soon though. The last compilation cd I bought was recommended by you too if I'm not mistaken, the J00F Euphoria cd? That was ace.
  19. Might check this out. I think Eddie's gone off the boil a bit myself, too focused on the 'Ed-it' side, rather than the tunes in my opinion. He doesn't do too many cd's does he?
  20. Wow. Well done to both of you. Obviously a lot of time and effort went into this. Cap well and trully doffed. Some amazing tunes it there. If I'm honest, I much preferred the 2nd mix. Though the first was good, the second blew me away. Lots of tunes very reminiscent of the Clubbed cd series Jules did. Loads of forgotten gems. Bravo!
  21. That's a good point. Another (sort of) example of that is Delerium Silence. If it gets played now, it's guaranteed to be the Tiesto or Airscape mix, never the superb original. The mix Jules played on Fri nite sounded modern enough to me, curious now to know what it was. Also, I have no recollecetion of posting at 3am. They should have breathalysers on laptops.
  22. Definately not the keystone remix. When I heard it, I thought it was a new version of it, as I'd never heard it before, and I'm familiar with the keystone mix. Thats why I paid so much attention (tried to shut up the in-laws). I liked it though. The plot thickens...
  23. I could only hear this in the car, with various in-laws blabbering away, and couldn't make it out properly, but it wasn't the Keystone remix was it? What version was it?
  24. Madelyne, A Deeper Love (Gizeh mix)?. Sounds very much like how you're describing. It's on the Sankey's Soap mix. Personal favourite of mine.
