  1. I decided to finally get another copy of, in my opinion, one of Jules' highest quality mix compilations, Clubbed 2002. I bought it when it was released but it got nicked my tent at Global Gathering in 2004 or 2005 (along with ISOS 1 and some other classic mix CDs). Almost ten years later I haven't replaced it! From Discogs it seems there are two versions of Clubbed 2002. The main double mix CD (Discogs) isn't anything new, but it seems there is a second mix CD (Discogs) which is only on one disc. The track list is subtly different from the main double mix but largely features tunes from the former. Tracklist, copied from Discogs, for the curious: Anyone know the story behind this? Apparently, there was only an Australian and UK release. I am thinking either licensing issues for some of the tunes or perhaps cover CD teaser.
  2. Ok, so it may be Scooter by another name, but this is a belter of a track. It's such a shame they added vocals to this for another commercial push.
  3. What a shame the whole set doesn't exist. Thanks for uploading this one.
  4. Second tune in was my fave. I could work that into a Kompakt type electro/techy/housy set.
  5. Prog house isn't usually my bag Jase. However, I'll give this a listen in support.
  6. Correction: 10. Blackout - 'Gotta Have Hope' (Judge Jules Remix) [Multiply] Doesn't come across very well in this mix, but actually is quite a good tune. It's let down by the sample of Strauss I feel but it would be easy to edit that out.
  7. Ferry Tayle sounds like a dodgy Corsten tribute act in the same vein as No Way Sis or the Bootleg Beatles.
  8. This article about Guetta last month made me think of this thread: http://www.edmtunes.com/2015/04/david-guetta-djs-without-set-playlist-calls-old-school/ Depressing really. :rubbish:
  9. Kudos for such a good idea Tim. We'll raise some dosh and get a classic mix to boot! Had a think about this and I'm really struggling to narrow down the quintessential Jules tunes. I'm really going to have to think hard before I make my final choice. Here's a few initial thoughts though: The Clergy - Saints & Sinners Apache - Starfighter (Hi-Gate Remix) Secret Cinema vs. Private Productions - Gung-Ho Kenji Ogura - Kreissaege Tyb B (MG Remix)
  10. The information is here if you look hard enough!
  11. One of Jules' strongest productions in my view.
  12. You can't find audio you have submitted, or you cannot find where to download existing archive material?

  15. Great set. Anyone have any luck locating a visual recording of this, other than the Youtube version?
  16. I remember listening to this live! Edit: It's a shame Jules didn't put out Celine Diablo - Horror Cabaret on Closet. Could have done with a few tweaks but a strong tune in my view.
  17. From around this ear onwards I wasn't a huge fan of Jules' productions. However, his mix of Brainbug - Nightmare is one of my favourite Jules' productions full stop. Absolute belter with so much energy. The clear blue vinyl pressing looks rather cool in the collection too!
  18. Never used the ZX. My first ever games system was the Amstrad CPC 464!
  19. Though I do partake in a few podcasts, I couldn't agree more. Diversity and choice come with many negatives to negotiate. To uncover the high quality offerings amongst the myriad options available, you need to put in too much energy and effort. Many of them don't add much value at all and are very generic: a few tunes and 'exclusive' guest mix.
  20. Does this recording have the 'banter' between Jules & Trevor Nelson regards Arsenal's Invincibles season before the start of the show? If not it should be spliced in!
  21. I was there for this one! At the time I though that T-Break sounded pretty awesome on the Radio 1 system. Creamfileds 2002 was a bit of a struggle all told. I was really tired that day so an all night rave was hard going. I remember sitting at the back of Paul Okenfold and falling asleep. He was playing quite boring tunes so I'd like to blame it on them but I was just knackered. :rubbish:
  22. Not a fan of the button bashing fighting games. Had Tekken Tag but didn't play it much.
  23. Yes, I have this and will upload shortly. Only have the first two hours though and not the complete four hour broadcast.
  24. Agreed, a very inspiring mix from PVD. The Mystery - Fever is a beautiful track. I just purchased a digital copy today. MarkMacR, your post is one of this things I absolutely love about this board; the memories and stories that the audio and tracklists dig up.
  25. I don't think so. I had arranged to meet up with some of the JJnet boarders but bottled it and did my own thing. Sounds silly, but given my age, I shouldn't have been alowed in at all. JJnet, at the time, seemed full of proper grown ups. Later that year I went clubbing a lot with people from the TranceAddict forums who were all closer to my own age/situation. Finally started to met the JJnet peeps in 2002.
