Someone said they had the missing tracks to this set, but we accidentally deleted their message... can whoever it was please get in contact with us again? We really want to hear from them!
Cheers
-
Welcome to the board! Glad to hear you found what you're looking for
That would be great if you could ID some of those unknowns... any problems with downloading, please let me know!
-
Yes it is... I've removed the other one for now. Cheers Jason!
-
Does anyone have the full half hour mix of this? It kicked off with the In Petto Mix of Fragma's Toca Me and then finished on possibly Pulser and Cloudwalking...
I would be ecstatic if anyone has this, or indeed the whole show...
-
Thanks for all these Jason. Absolutely invaluable so thank you.
-
Had to resubmit this....
Just to credit JasonB here for creating the skeleton tracklisting shown above, as you've done so often. Thank you!!
Also the following you said - very true!:
Heres what Ive come up with: [...tracklisting appeared here]Again its strange, this time with jules starting off with a couple breakbeatey/hip hopy records and then ending with one, the rest of the set is all types of house, euro, acid, tribal, the lot , as many records as possible it seems to be of this time period with Jules!
-
Ridiculous really. It's 8 years on and we're still raving about it... it's something that cannot be repeated!
For those listening for the first time to this stuff, it's kind of lost it's original significance, but surely one can still appreciate the sterling quality of music at this time, and this is what the Archives on this website are all about - making sure people don't forget, despite what they think of today's dance scene.
-
Thats extremely useful Moonman, thank you - I will update the tracklisting tomorrow accordingly
Oh also need to change TL to add this remixer:
02. Rank One - 'Airwave' (Rank 1 vs. Dutch Force Remix) [Manifesto]
-
Sorry I should have been clearer - this was not broadcast; Jules sent me it on CD a few years ago as he had asked someone to record his whole set from the decks directly. He wasn't too pleased when he found out only 30 minutes were recorded (and in dodgy quality) and felt it worth binning. I insisted he sent it anyway, and it's been lying on my PC for ages, so I put it up... if it helps bring back the slightest memory for people who actually went, it's done it's job!

Fuzzy, the file name is the problem - recheck it's absolutely correct with all those hyphens and spaces

Lange did do a remix of this track, but this is definitely the original bootleg using the 'Soulsearcher' vocals that Jules was spinning way before it got its full release in 2001.
I never did like the later Taka Boom vocals, I was used to hearing the bootleg version. A bit like when 'Tomcraft - Lonliness' got it's proper release and that had someone else singing the vocals, it really bugs me.
God I'm sad.
I reckon its Soulsearcher vs. ??? - Just Can't Get Enough
Right. If you're correct about the vocals then, this must be a bootleg pressing that preceded what eventually became officially released as the Eye To Eye track (feat Taka Boom)
This is a bit like the situation a few years ago with a bootleg that was flying around in 2003/4 of U2's "With Or Without You", which had Whitney Houston vocals flung on the top - later it came out as LMC vs U2 - Take Me To The Clouds Above, I think it was Rachel McFarlane who re-did the vocals but it never quite captured the original magic of the original bootleg.
-
Any chance of a discogs.com entry for #13 then Jacey B? I was never fully convinced of Lange's sound in it anyway!
Cheers

The best of the University sets. There's an amazing mood change at the 60 minute mark.... simply a must-have download for everybody.
-
Cheers Jason - this copy is ok at the start but the sound gets very bad in the second half, so it would be good to share a nicer copy with all our members at some point
-
We are trying to find a new copy of this - if anyone has a clearer version please submit it or PM me!

Would be very interested to hear if anyone can ID number 7 for us... definitely heard it before, can't put my finger on it.
Number 7 also proved to be a bit of a slippery eel as well for the decks, it skips everywhere! Bit of a bizarre atmosphere after it disagrees to mix in from Freefall & Skydive...

07. Jonesy - 'Independence' (Unknown Mix) [Massive Drive]
Came out on Caged not Massive Drive?
You're right: http://www.discogs.com/release/117241
Any idea of the correct mix?
-
Spot on, absolutely love track 8, will make a clip out of it this evening.
Author changed to you, Simon

Top work lads, appreciate this
File will be updated tomorrow.
-
Anyone know the exact time this was broadcast, by the way?
-
-

13. Eye To Eye - 'Just Can't Get Enough (No, No, No, No)' (Lange Mix) [Xtravaganza]
Surerly this is the unofficla version not the proper release?
Not sure myself actually Jacey B, can anyone shed some light?
