  1. So is this DJ thing really happening then? I was thinking about how it would actually work - it would be impossible as a spectacle...
  2. I've not been to Leeds for years. Saying that sir, my cake below illustrates the percentage chance of you finding a club which plays top-quality Trance (unfortunately)... :
  3. Chicane feat Bryan Adams - Don't Give Up Armin van Buuren - Yet Another Day off the top of my head... I do think girls sound better on records (if you need a vocal). And Jan Johnston tops that list.
  4. Only just seen this. That Moogwai remix of Bassfly is a fantastic bit of Trance. Lol, what the hell is Jules talking about at the end!? He reads out an entirely wrong tracklisting... definitely pre-recorded! Maybe the mix he actually reads out exists somewhere... in a dusty BBC vault, never broadcast...
  5. Hello sir tranceredhead. Jules's 2001 homelands set is here, if that's what you're looking for? http://www.judgejulesarchive.co.uk/archives/board/index.php?showtopic=4114

Hilarious! Where are the 80s pics of Dave Pearce by the way? We should archive them, they're all brilliant
  7. Wonder what mix of Flesh that is, either the Tilt or Tiesto mix? Will download... I love these mini mastermixes. You never get them today, and if you do there's a shedload of stupid jingles all over them.
  8. Which date should I download sir and what was your tracklisting? Sorry for being lazy just easier if it's all here and would like to listen
  9. This'll be interesting because your choice of track order is determined purely by the alphabet. Definitely going to listen to this, sire.
  10. I've never understood label signings anyway, or how that all works. If I were an artists I would not want to be paid to give my recordings away! Perhaps there is some german / Pvd remix package in the pipeline?
  11. Have to say, the original mix is better than this re-work.
  12. This is good to know. Thank you sirs. Do please check your vaults!

    Time Team

I can't stop watching this programme, and how clever it is when they piece it all together. Awesome. But my wife hates it - in fact she said to me last night that it was "one of the most boring programmes I have ever seen"!! If I had another life, I would be an archaeologist, no doubt.
  14. Two questions! 1) How much audio is there left for the admins to upload for our delight? What type of sets? Or is the archives done (?) 2) How do I submit a file which is so gigantic the upload system on here can't cope? It's over 128MB. Thanks sirs! And I hope this wonderful board and website continues long after Jules finally 'budges' from R1.
  15. When you hear this btw it's strange - it's as if someone had a direct plug from the mixer to record this. It's all mixed on vinyl but it the set is somehow CD quality - someone has done incredible job at mastering the sound, and yet it's an incomplete set. Would love to know where it came from!
  16. The greatest cover version of any song, ever, by the greatest British pop duo in British chart history - The Pet Shop Boys The year is 1987. Enjoy.
  17. Deansonline sir, you are right - Megaupload is no more http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-16646023 I shall submit this file to the admins on here to upload, as it's quite big.
  18. I love the lack of labels in this tracklisting... I know it's hard for labels in these times but still Keen to listen to this nonetheless
  19. How fast are USB flash drives? Maybe that's where a bottleneck could be sir?
  20. XP was the most stable OS that Microsoft created. We still use it in the office when I'm not in the van Good luck with this Aza sir... too much tech for me Im afraid and I'll stick with CDJs
  21. The old ortofon nightclubs need min 2g tonearm weight sir. I've never gone over 2.5g with them and the sound is ace. Also, rumour has it the Nightclub mk2s are meant to sound even better than the Arkiv, so you might need to do some research on that.
  22. Sorry sir, I had a quick browse and couldn't find anything but will go through the russian website with a toothcomb tonight and let you know. If I find anything I will submit it as might as well have it as a proper download on here in the archives
  23. Incredible CD quality! This seems to be from late 98 or early 1999 but there's a whole load of tracks I don't recognise in there. Definitely Jules... the mixing gives it away, just the way he cues up tracks so it's just out and then during the mix it tightens... can't explain it but I'm sure other sirs know what I mean
  24. I think you're right. The simplicity and structure went a long way... key to it all was just a bloody good melody.
  25. I'm sure people on here can knock one up. What year do you reckon it's from? Downloading now btw - thank you sire
