  1. Well it's coz the radio is no longer face less is it, f****** web cams and youtubes and blah blah of everything all the time!!
  2. I'm going to see Julian Clary next week
  3. What would you describe the contents of their shows as? Namely the specialists, but what does Annie Nightingale play at 3am? I used to like her.
  4. Lmao!! Kml, they can call them regular, large and extra large!
  5. Should have to give the money to a good cause.. Something do I don't have to put up with sport relief or something. :-/
  6. "Everybody dance now" Dunno about you lot, but I CBA with the EDM debate. WTP ?
  7. I like it. But he is receding so please be Jel no longer!! It's nice. Makes him look younger. I didn't realise he was starring as Willy Wonka atm!?
  8. People seem to forget though, these footballers, they are meatheads, and when they're very good at football, they get rich. They don't get clever! EDIT: there are some exceptions I expect, but not many.
  9. I know I've checked everyday and everyday I was disappointed to find no one had posted! But hurrah! I was just thinking to my self, I wonder how long it will go to? I like Jules' new hairdo though. He must be dying it though, coz he was starting to go grey, I'm sure! Need some pics here..
  10. Massive would be an understatement!! Lol
  11. Yeah basically to get radio one to play dance music other than Jules or Tong, it had to have a vocal on it, so vocals got slapped on. To get AirPlay and sell records and make money. That's not for the love of music is it. Every tune that had this happen to it, imo sounds shit after. Diving faces and Gouryella even sound a bit pants coz of the talky bit. I dunno what my point is... Oh yeah what about when Rollo remixed that shitty simply red track? Lol Hey look over there! *runs away whilst your back's turned
  12. I had to go to Brighton for a proper dance music shop, we had a small one in our town and an independent record store that had a rack of dance music 12", also we have a large HMV that dabbled with more well known dance records, but they literally were selling off their vinyl stock as soon as they opened. Then there was Our Price too, I don't remember buying any vinyl in there, but they did stock a vast selection of CD singles and I did buy a lot of them. All in all I preferred ordering 12"s from Juno and what with that and my subscription to Mixmag, I loved waking up on a Wednesday morning to the postman knocking the door. Which was good, coz being a hardcore clubber with a baby and a job, getting up every other morning sucked arse big time!!
  13. Three quarters of all albums sold. But not so many are "sold" I think that's also a big prob that downloading brought with it. I know we had tapes and stuff to record with before, but this is on a much bigger scale.
  14. Two words for ya - from the good old days Danii Minogue :-/ See... Nothing really changes!
  15. I met The DJ, on the stairs at Gatecrasher (1) Didn't know I'd been with him until a few days after when I got my camera developed. Even after that, I only twigged when I saw him in Mixmag, recognised his jacket, got the photo out. He really was a bit dull...
  16. I remember seeing someone's newspaper that said Fergie was a wife beater, and I had to do a double-take, but I've still never looked at DJ Fergie in the same light. Despite knowing it was Alex the paper was referring to. I met Fergie once... It was very dull. EDIT: a bit like my anecdote
  17. No!! Suddenly I'm with ya!! Is that true?
  18. Haha wtf? What? I'm still confused, possibly more so!
  19. I'm confused by that last sentence, showing my true out of touchedness!!
  20. Good way of getting Fergie to pay a forfeit lol I loved TDV but I was very sus about the Fergie TDV thing back then and tbh I still am now. I had no idea there was a "no touch" method, I've never noticed it being an issue, I thought everyone touched the plate if it was helpful or necessary to do so. Of course my plate touching was sometimes more of a whack... But I like that rustic quality. PS: TDV was a great DJ but he played HiNRG / Hard house and in the beginning so did Fergie, and let's face it, to beat match those genres is very easy. Just shows there's more to being a great DJ than just beat matching ( or as it shall now be called - Syncing )
